  • in Puglia (Italy, South East) we do the orecchiette pasta with broccoli, sautéed anchovies, evo oil, garlic and chili instead of pecorino cheese. Try it, it's delicious.

    I'm Italian from Calabria, and my mom always makes this dish. It's something divine! So always but delicious! Now I've been living in the UK for three years and I miss the taste of broccoli from here grown in Calabria. They have a totally different flavor and definitely better than the ones I find here. In Italy the food is much tastier and more genuine!

  • My grandparents were all born in Calabria. We often had this as a Friday dish. Mom always used medium pasta shells with the broccoli. The little broccoli buds will nest inside the shells. I love it!
