Goldwings have always been cool, and amazing machines. They get flak because older guys tend to ride them, but that's because those old guys have experience and know they're the best.

Owned a Harley for a couple years. One day I rode a GW. Bought one a week later. My wife asked if I was selling the Harley. I said “no, I’m sure I’ll still ride it sometimes” A year later I dusted off the cob webs and sold the Harley, never looked back. Bonus points for no longer needing to clean dripped oil off my garage floor.

Yams: "We gotta do it the Yammie Noob way." Spite: "So you want me to go loop it in a parking lot?" 🤣

The chips were a proper presentation of the Goldwing's capabilities. When my daughter was 15 she worked at a local McDonalds and I would frequently pick her up from work with the Goldwing. She would eat an order of fries on the way home in total comfort. I had that Goldwing for 10 years, the longest I have keep any bike in my adult ADHD life. I've had sport bikes, cruisers, standards and currently a F850GSA and a KLX300D - a very large assortment of bikes and the Goldwing was the best motorcycle I have ever owned period. I frequently pulled off 600 mile day rides just for the fun of it on that bike and loved it. Thanks to Yammie and Spite for not going out there and trashing the Goldwing "just because" but appreciating it for what it is and how good it is at that.

We are witnessing Spite and Yammie slowly transform into dad mode.

Lemme know when y'all are ready to take the goldwing challenge. It's time for an iron butt spite

So glad you guys got a chance to ride the Wing. I own the exact bike that you tested. One thing I noticed while watching the video: were you aware that it's a 6-speed? You never got out of fifth gear. They dropped the tank size down by one gallon when making the current version lighter but I get the same range out of my tank as I did on my 2008 Wing with one gallon more. Now they have 4 valves per cylinder and a square bore/stroke. The old 1800's had 103 HP but got worse mileage. Loving my '21. Good job.
  • Legitimately the greatest motorcycle ever built. Or at least a solid fucking contender. There are very few motorcycles that absolutely define their segment the way it does.
  • @REDCLAYHOMESTEAD
I really like you guys branching out and trying out all sorts of bike.

I have a 2021 Goldwing DCT and you have over 100 ft lbs of torque from the moment the back tire moves (<1mph), it will hit 60 in less than 3.5 seconds, it’s probably the most maneuverable bike in its class, it has a 3 year unlimited mile manufacturer warranty, and lastly, it can run on regular gas!

Rode my dad's '08 Goldwing around for a few hundred miles last year, just crazy bikes. Was pulling 30deg plus of lean at 50mph 2 up, and generally screaming around everywhere. Compared to my 80's Honda it felt like a nimble little sportbike (above 25mph anyways). Was always amazed by the confidence it inspired, threw that damn near 1k lb beast around the corners all day. Could squeal tire with brakes or throttle at pretty much any speed, yet lots of control. Not twitchy, but very responsive. Arguably one of the best bikes, definitely the best touring bike ever. My dad sold his for personal reasons, but I plan on buying my own soon. As someone who likes to ride all day, there's no better bike for it. This is where Honda's insane motorcycle engineering really shines. It doesn't seem like a bike like this could be possible, but I promise it is. You haven't lived till you've ridden a bike with a flat 6 with more liters than some sedans lol.

At 6'3" 400#'s what else can I ride and not look like a trained bear on a bicycle. On my 4th wing since 2004 and love it. Great video thanks for showing the wing some love
  • @headhunter531
Oh my god the sheer dad energy in this video is unbelievable.
  • @mrspeigle1
something to keep in mind when you're talking about the price of a gold wing, you can't kill these bikes, there are still gold wings from the 1980s out kicking around with hundreds of thousands of miles on them. If it cost 3 times as much but lasts 3 times as long is it really An expensive motorcycle? If you absolutely positively want to lay down iron butt challenges like it's nothing, this is the bike.
  • @SEEMERIDECOM
Listening to two guys experience the GW for the first time while riding the GW down the highway pulling a trailer... Awesome. And yes you can push the GW hard. Have tracked it a few times. While it's not CBR1000RR SP. It does very well for a 900 pound boat.
  • Coming from a law enforcement motor officer perspective, never look through a windscreen, always look over it, even if it’s just enough to just see over it.
  • My dad rides a wing trike, I like to tease him that he's one wheel short of a miata.
  • The Goldwing has definitely earned it's title of one of the greatest touring bikes ever.
  • @anthonyprice5596
Considering your sports bike bias normally, I was amazed you were so kind to the Goldwing, I'm a Goldwing owner but I wasn't shopping for one, I actually went to a Honda dealer to test ride an Africa twin, but I got to the dealer late and had to either "try a new Goldwing" or sit and wait for the Africa twin, well I tried the Goldwing......and it was the best bike I have ever ridden!! I've had Glides, and even tried a BMW K1600, I tried a roadmaster Indian, but the Goldwing won the day. I've done nearly 600 miles in a day on it, and thats hard in the uk! It just eats miles in comfort and with the right headset in your Helmet you can even answer your phone!! Great review guys.
