Rented a Honda GoldWing on my visit to Florida a few weeks ago. Took it for a full day ride and tried first time the flat 6 Six Cadillac of of all motorcycles. Did I like it or not ? Take a look at my smile during the whole video…

Long time Harley rider, most recently a stage two Road Glide. I absolutely loved the Road Glide. I test rode a 22 Goldwing DCT after an 18 hour ride from Key West to KY. I bought the Gold Wing. I ride long distance and absolutely love this bike. You gotta try the DCT transmission Sandy! Also they increased the capacity of their tour pack in 21. You can store two full face helmets with communicators. I’ll probably buy another Harley for short trips. But I am loving the Goldwing.
  • Rode my 1987 Goldwing Aspencade 12,650 miles around the US in 2013 (bike was 26 years old) - never skipped a beat - cant beat a Goldwing - still have her , now she resides in the UK with me

Great video Sandy!! Best part for me was your last comment “open up your mind and try other brands…don’t stick to one”. Safe travels brother.

When I hear someone say reverse is a gimmick I think they are a newbie. Not to be offensive but when you ride many miles and take many trips REVERSE is a must. I am currently a H-D rider but I have owned many different bikes. Electric windshield and reverse are a big plus in touring. Enjoyed the video and your enthusiasm of different bikes

I started riding street bikes in 1985. Nothing at all compares with the power and smoothness of my Gold Wing! I have tried other brands, as you mentioned, but always come back to the Wing. It's just unbeatable.
  • Honestly, I am not surprised by your experience. You convinced me to 'rent' one of my GWs until I saw how you flogged your rental. Though I am sure it did not damage the GW at all...I don't ride like that (anymore) and would not want anyone riding mine like that either. Overall, nice video of a rider being convinced of a GW's worth on the road. Welcome to GW!

You going to fall in love with the Honda because of all the conviniences that it has and Harley dont have. Great air plane scenery. Thank you for posting great content.

So refreshing that you're open minded to other brands and I give you mad props. I'm a H-D guy too; although I've ridden a 6-speed manual GW (2022) and respect it for what it is. It's incredibly refined and a wonderful feat of engineering; yet I simply didn't have that intangible soul-connection that we H-D riders always find so difficult to explain to non-H-D peeps. And also, cool ass cockpit footage! As someone else said, you are definitely unique and the fact that you're a pilot gives you an even greater sense of credibility. Thank you for consistently making such excellent content!

One of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had riding a motorcycle so far. Just a great bike overall. Great video 💯👍

First time subscriber, nice job, fair and informative. HD and HONDA, are both awesome choices . I've had 27 various makes and models. And now I own a 2018 Goldwing. At 72, I've finally found the ultimate ride. Thanks again, Fasteddie
  • Great video. I have a 2021 Goldwing non tour and I love it. After riding Harleys for years it took some getting used to but now I'm hooked!
  • Great video! What I like about the Goldwing is it does everything well. They are not only good touring bikes, but also not bad in the city or commuting. If you can only have one street motorcycle but also ride a fair amount of longer trips, this is the motorcycle to have. Yes my V-twin has a lot of character, but as a senior rider as well as a tall stature, refined is becoming more attractive. Nothing beats riding 500 miles and having enough energy, with the lack of soreness when the destination is reached, to celebrate the day.
  • I rode as a passenger with a friend many, many miles in the Hudson Valley, NY. I absolutely loved being on his Goldwing. So very comfortable. It was my favorite thing to do and boy do I miss it. Your video made me so envious! 😊
  • Thanks for your honest and subjective review of the Gold Wing as a Harley owner. I've always liked traveling on motorcycle (probably because it was cheap on gas). I started with a '75 Honda CL360 which I put 30k miles on. But after my first 3500-mile trip to Colorado from Wisconsin (can you say "twin-tingle"?), I bought a Gold Wing within 3 months. I've now owned Gold Wings for 40+ years (1977 1000, 1984 1200, and currently 1996 1500), and still love them. My father had a '75 Harley dresser with the old Liberator fairing. It was a fun experience to drive, and that fairing had huge wind coverage, but the mirrors shook so bad you couldn't see anything behind you, and the single headlight was terribly dim. Of course, that was 50 years ago. I love the mystic of Harleys and their classic sound (and the bottom end torque of those twin-cylinder engines), but the Gold Wings are top-notch for long-distance and comfort... and low maintenance/reliability. It really is a great bike!
  • Thank you sooo much for sharing this experience.I loved every minute.❤
  • @navcop33
I own both an HD and a GL1800. I'll take my Wing over my HD ANYDAY! My Harley isn't going anywhere though. Great video!
  • Had several bikes over the years, including HD, needless to say the Goldwing is the best long distance touring bike I've owned, will never be without one in the garage.
  • @eddiebenzz
I was gonna purchase this exact same bike in 2019 but ended up with the BMW K 1600 B . Both are amazingly smooth 6 cylinder machines. I will say this though …. Nothing is more reliable than Japanese technology.

Merci pour cette nouvelle vidéo. Toujours un plaisir à regarder !!! 👍
  • @markmason7019
I own a Harley, Goldwing and a few other bikes and I think your assessment is spot on. Love the Goldwing but will always have a Harley in the garage
