Oh wow this is so nostalgic. My grandma, mom and aunts used to make chinese sausage fried rice with bits of salted fish too.

I really love how you share your family....and your mother (I bet) is a blast! I truly appreciate your enthusiasm, especially when you eat. When I see a professional eat their own cooking, I'm so more convinced to try their recipe's. BTW..... love when you fry chicken! Every time I watch your fried chicken post, I am compelled to run into the kitchen and pull everything out and start frying!!

Lovely to hear your familial tradition around food and how it inspired you to become a professional in cookery! As always, a lovely recipe and so well-done. The editing is always terrific, too! And the interaction at the end is heartwarming!
  • I've been on a big fried rice bender recently, since it easily makes enough lunches for a week and it freezes/reheats well. This channel is helping a lot.

I love how you share your childhood memories of food. My mom was a great cook and taught all six of us how to cook.

what i love about watching this channel is, all recipes are actually so simple and doable as compared to other channels u just watch but never really able to try bc of the complicated process or expensive ingredients. thats what i love about food, humble ingredients but amazing flavors! it also adds an impact to me when i know that a certain food tells a story. i can really feel your childhood filled with love from your mom. aside from the many other recipes in this channel, this one is a recipe my family really enjoys weekly. thank you for this marion! all the love!

Literally everything you make looks amazing and I learn so much from you! Thank you for making sure this show is at the right pace, has easy to understand instructions, and gives us all the chance to really cherish the wealth of flavor (both modern and traditional) that comes from East Asia. You are the best Marion!
