Help for Your Double Jointed Fingers! In this video, I discuss ways to help your double jointed fingers. Double jointed fingers, or hypermobile fingers, can greatly impact the use of your hands.
Your hands may feel like they are unstable or feel weak when gripping or pinching objects.

I will explain why you may have double jointed, or hypermobile fingers, but more importantly I will demonstrate exercises and strategies to help you improve your hand and finger function!

This is so helpful, thank you! I just want to mention that EDS is not an autoimmune condition, its a group of genetic connective tissue disorders.

this was really helpful thank you! recently I've been having pain in my fingers and wrist when playing piano and I did the Brighton test and most of my joints are hyper mobile. I'm going to do these exercises regularly now

I have double jointed fingers in conjunction with hemiplegia. It's so difficult to get any coordinated movement to the fingers on my right hand. When I was younger I didn't care too much and never kept up with my OT treatments. I kick myself everyday because of it. Hopefully these little tips can help me gain some mobility and dexterity to my right hand. I essentially never use my right hand because of how little coordination I have in it, but at almost 30 years old I'm really trying to gain control over my insecurities. Thank you for these videos.

My fingers are double jointed and giving me a lot trouble when doing vibrato on the violin or even shifting the notes. My grip on my bow is not steady at all. So troublesome. Even when i try to hold properly chopsticks. I really hope that i can strengthen my joints! Thanks for sharing this video!

i knew i had very bendy fingers and it is a bit annoying for writing but i noticed that it only really started to bother me when i started to learn the bass, when i need to put downward force and my fingers kept bending and it was unconfortable because i couldnt hold the note

Can you do them all? We will watch them. Thanks for sharing.

I have hypermobile EDS and I was just diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Yay me. 😂 Your channel has been such a godsend. I'm a pianist and I've been super-concerned about how all of this RA stuff is going to affect my ability to keep playing my instrument.

My thumb is double jointed to the point that i can use it as a catapult! i even made a trickshot with it on my channel!
  • Ever since middle school my hands would get fatigued writing or gripping objectss. I have the constant urge to pop my knuckes or else i feel like my hand gets weaker which gets annoying when doing normal task like driving. Sometimes my fingers extend too much when i pick up something heavy and it would hurt a lot or jam. Might affect me in the career im choosing and hobbies like using tools and pressing buttons
  • @Whoreyou-yu8eg
All of my fingers on both hands are double jointed and I get picked on for it and yes I am young. Even teachers say it's gross 🙁
  • @ljiwan3406
Do you have any suggestions on learning to play the guitar with double jointed fingers? 😢
  • @nu62nu
Very helpful. Please post more exercises for my EDS fingers. I love to embroider but my hands protest. Is it possible to strengthen my 58 year old hands so that they’ll hold for such a distressing hobby? I’m feeling hopeful!
