If you’re here, you might be grieving. (I certainly am.) May God - and this music - bring you comfort.

Driving in the highlands in Scotland, I told my then husband I could hear bagpipes. He said I was imagining it. Lo and behold, we rounded a corner, and there was a solid Scotsman, dressed in his kilt, against a backdrop of a snow topped mountain, with a little tartan stool beside him for donations, playing the bagpipes. I have a photo of me standing beside him. It was one of the highlights of my trip.

My dad, a veteran, recently died of Covid-19 (as well as my mother). Amazing grace was played on the bagpipes at the funeral and it was the most majestic sound I ever heard. My heart deeply aches over the loss, but those bagpipes take me to another plain, where I can find peace and feel their presence.
