Imagine being on a hike in that valley when this starts in the distance.

I don't know why everyone makes fun of this instrument. I like it.

“I once was lost, but now I am found.” Most profound words a soul can ever profess.

Driving in the highlands in Scotland, I told my then husband I could hear bagpipes. He said I was imagining it. Lo and behold, we rounded a corner, and there was a solid Scotsman, dressed in his kilt, against a backdrop of a snow topped mountain, with a little tartan stool beside him for donations, playing the bagpipes. I have a photo of me standing beside him. It was one of the highlights of my trip.

That lizard is trying to hold back the tears, thinking of the great lizards that are no longer with us.

My Dads getting marched into his funeral service by a sole piper tomorrow. I hope he likes it. It was his favourite tune all his life RIP Dad x

My old man was Scottish and full of Scottish pride, bagpipes always bring me to tears

If you’re here, you might be grieving. (I certainly am.) May God - and this music - bring you comfort.

My husband passed away yesterday and he always told me if nothing else he wanted this played. Losing my love is ripping my heart out but he's in no more pain. I will always love this man.

So, I’m adopted.. the woman who took me in at 6 months old, was the only mother I knew.. every night as a kid she would sing Amazing Grace to me. So softly, so kindly, so lovingly.. at her passing on 12/15/19, we buried her to this song..hearing this song made me cry tbh. Just this version of this song is fantastic.. thank you

My dad, a veteran, recently died of Covid-19 (as well as my mother). Amazing grace was played on the bagpipes at the funeral and it was the most majestic sound I ever heard. My heart deeply aches over the loss, but those bagpipes take me to another plain, where I can find peace and feel their presence.

My father passed away back in October to cancer...he introduced me to this song...and I forgot to play it at his service. So I listen to it every night, in honor of him.

This song has the ability to make even the most stone-faced people cry

When your DNA test says you’re 1.00% Scottish:
