Finally a Youtuber who respects both versions.
  • @hugo2171
Very well done video. Clear, structured and straight to the point. That is rare on small minecraft youtube videos Well done sir. And thank you

The bedrock edition has more awasome function but the redstone, the commands, the creative inventory, and the moves are way better in the java edition. That's why i prefer java.
  • @Chaosbrine
I Perfer bedrock, because of its Crossplay and it is easier (at least for me) to Play with friends... But I really respect java
  • @unwisermovie210
For me I like java when I am by my self because I like hardcore but if I have to do servers I do bedrock because I suck at java pvp.
  • You have just gained yourself a subscriber This video quality blew me up Nice job👍

I use java mainly because I've played it for my whole life, and I wouldn't consider switching to bedrock. Mainly because of technical farms and redstone potential of java, as well as building on the nether roof. The performance of bedrock is not to be understated though, bedrock is vastly better in that regard. Since I stick to vanilla, mods and texture packs are not a big factor in my choice. Also most of my friends play Java and consider it the superior version. I think that Java will always be the definitive version of minecraft.

great explanation! Although, i have one question, I am more of a Minecraft survival player, not interested in mods, not interested in any dlc. Most people tell me that Java Edition has more to offer as far as survival, for example, more redstone compatibility and other simple things like that. Would java be a better edition to go with?

Hey great video! What’s the name of the map you’re playing in the background, I kinda want to try it

I don't know why both sides scream at each other over who's better. -both have downsides -both have upsides -both have features the other doesn't have Both versions call each others redstone broken cause its different for both versions so they aren't use to it. Both can get mods on ALL versions. Both can get servers on ALL versions. Both can add servers on ALL versions. Both versions have realms. Microtransactions won't end the world Java players so shut up about it. BOTH versions get the SAME updates on the SAME DAY. Your servers might be laggy bedrock but thats only because your playing on a poor normal xbox or ps4 and you should get a gaming one and for phone players get a better phone. PC players and laptop players will get better experience but for best get a beefy computer like the ones Java players use for hypixel and crap. Listen Java players, we all know most of you are insulting Bedrock cause you've never tried it and is just listening to what most of the community says cause your too sad to have your own opinion. Both versions just need to shut the hell up and play there little games cause arguing isn't changing nothing. Goodbye and have a good day. Count how many times I said both including this one

I prefer java but i play bedrock cause i’m on xbox
  • i do have a question, are mods worth it? i wanna play mods but i have bedrock and not the money to buy from the market place, is it worth buying java for the mods and overall gameplay?
  • @reeceliu294
Great job! This really helped me understand the differences. Based on what I heard in the video, I think Bedrock Edition is slightly better, but that's just my preference. By the way, I left a like because I feel like you were really clear and to the point. :)
  • Thanks, exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to buy minecraft for my 2 nephews for Xmas had no idea wich one to pick.
  • @kazooo.
I've only played bedrock a couple times the biggest thing that annoyed me was that you couldn't configure control the same. As on left shift and right shift cannot be 2 separate things. I use shift on java for run and attack so its weird to use different controls after sooo many years. However I plan on playing bedrock again because It has some interesting things java does not like goats(for now), under water rails, and education edition features.
  • I really don't know which version to play, I have them both but java runs very badly in my pc and that throws me back a lot, I have to play at 640x400 to be able to get some performance and with the render distance in 10 chunks. java is the version I literally grew up with, watching redstone vids, learning tricks, playing adventure maps, I just love it, but I love bedrock too and I love playing it on my switch but it doesn't have some features that I really like about java like the redstone, the combat, hardcore mode. The thing is that there isn't much bedrock content on youtube, and every youtuber I like plays java. Mods aren't really interesting for me so I don't worry about them. I principally want to make a survival world that lasts a lot of time, which version do you think it's better for that? The only things that I am worried about are redstone circuits and contraptions that are useful in survival, and farms. Some day bedrock will have the same features that java has so I will play bedrock always when that happens. And one last thing, do you think java will become obsolete and discontinued some day because of the limitations of the programming language and how hard it is to work with?
