I think like myself who deals with similar stuff. The "you" in I thought about killing you - is the negative aspect of his bipolar depression that when not in a state of mania - does not wish to associate with himself. as if the Mania itself is another person. He thought about killing him today, because he loves himself more than he loves that side of him, and you best believe he thought about killing himself -- all of him. To stop these thoughts. So you best belief he thought about killing you (Mania). Yet at the end - "The most beautiful thoughts are always inside the darkest" Instead of killing him, he forgives him.
