  • Have been watching tennis around 40 years, right from Bjorn Borg to Carlos Alcaraz. Roger is the best and legend of legends.
  • @rszanger
He has dominated with his grateful beauty, and his immensely talented skills. No one moves plays like him. He made tennis moved into another level.
  • @emmanuels3927

There will never be another Roger Federer. He is tennis.Period. His style of play and genius, taking the game to the opponent & consistency across all surfaces for the longest period of time has transcended the sport itself. And his biggest legacy will be continuing to push the standard of tennis higher while competing with not one, but 2 exceptional successors despite being 5-5.5 years elder. Records may be broken, but his impact and style are forever etched in the history of tennis. Truly the Greatest Tennis Player of All Time. Farewell, Maestro. And Thank you for the years of entertainment.

He literally made modern tennis😂 He is an inventor, pioneer, champion and legend❤❤ Love you RForever
  • The backhand slice was just magical to watch.. No idea how the depth varied soo much even though the shot looked the same!
  • Watching Federer play is one of the best mood boosters I know of. I always find myself smiling and energized after watching some highlights. Thanks for posting this.

In thise backhand slice disguises, one has to remember also those nasty slice returns he did, especially on clay and grass, where the opponent expected a deep slice return, only to be bamboozled by Roger with a sublime drop shot. Truly a maestro.

This is what was so fantastic. Whether winning or losing, at the start of a match or the end, you were never too far away from the next beautiful shot.
  • Absolute GENIUS. His play Is impossibile to imitate. He won 20 slams with a Majestic display of class, inside and outside the court. That's why for the most of the fans, he Is the GOAT, regardless of one or two Grand Slam titles Less. Long Live to King Roger. 👑. Thank you for all Swiss Maestro. 🙌🐐❤️

I think you could also add The Half Volley shot of Roger. He was a master of it and sometimes people can't do anything about it.

He has been the reason I keep playing and watching tennis. Sad to see him leave the court.
  • @briandtnguyen
I could be wrong but another shot that Roger pretty much invented was the 100 mph short angle slap forehand where the ball lands inside the service box. Any player nowadays can hit a 100 mph forehand. But only Roger can hit a 100 mph forehand winner and do it with so much whip and spin that the ball ends up landing in the service box. If you dont believe me, check out his 2006 matches against Davydenko and Haas at the Aussie Open. He hit a few insane forehands during those matches that defied the laws of physics. Have literally never seen anyone else hit a forehand like that.

What a journey it has been to watch this man play. I love watching FEDERER play.🎉
  • @wahn10
Unmatched creativity and skill. Roger is the reason I wanted to pick up a racquet. I'm so grateful to have seen him play in person, always unforgettable.
  • I think we all know Roger is a seminal talent and it'll be a very long time before tennis sees anyone with as complete a game again. Every shot in the book from anywhere on the court at any time during the point. If Roger could paint - he'd be a modern day da Vinci.
  • @samy29987
If I could add a couple more they would be: 1- the smash off a smash 2- the drop shot return of serve 3- and perhaps, the half volley winners from the baseline. He wasn't as rock solid as Novak and Rafa, and they were a bit stronger mentally than him, but Federer's playing style is just so different and unique from everyone else. NO ONE plays like him. Such a beautiful thing to witness.
  • No one will ever do what you did, in all aspects. Thank you so much for being the one. Goat forever.
