imagine having to play djokovic and federer in succession just to win an ATP 500 💀
  • Kei is such a gifted athlete & so underrated. He is confident in his game & it shows. Perhaps having Djokovic & then Federer was a bit too much. It can mess with your momentum & we know how tennis swings one way & then the other. I didn't see this game so thank you for this post. Love Roger & Kei. Thanks Wivo.

When asked who was best player on the tour Kyrios once said Roger was the one where you sometimes felt you had no chance.

Nishikori was an enormously good player.
  • Such a beauty to watch! I knew he wanted to retire after playing one last time at Basel (Possibly to be able to say "That's where I started and that's where I finished") Roger, when you finished you were not the only one shedding tears (Nor you Rafa!)

Damn never knew Nishikori bagelled Djokovic before

Love that you kept all the fun stuff in.

You make the best tennis videos. What a treat for Tennis lovers. I love the storyline you create as a preamble to your videos.
  • Good on him for beating Djokovic Federer is another beast who has a devastating serve inside outside ,a backhand that is lethal down the line or cross court with a forehand to go with it and a touch at the net that is just beautiful and amazing to behold, a player who can humble even the greatest, tumeke kia raua motau mahi ki runga o tou paparahi,PUUKANA.....

Great video, thanks. I always loved watching Kei play.. almost as much as watching Fed.

Beating Novak was hard enough, but dealing with a very sharp Federer...too tall an order😮

What makes Fed so good , compared to nadal & djokovic - his style n flare for the game - allowed him to deal with most players more easily. Its about the variety and his talent. Both djokovic & nadal started with WAY less variety in their games , than did Federer. You see them often grind away with difficulty against several styles , like djokovic here . Less so did Federer, in my opinion This aspect was what made him greater than the other two
  • Tennis is a sport of a lifetime. This video will help keep the interest in a great sport of a lifetime.

Serious question - who lost more of their prime years to injuries: Nishikori or Raonic? Surely someone has added up the lost years of playing time for those two?
  • @greywolf4784
to me, federer was the most skillful of the three. the other two were just mentally and physically tougher.

Love Kei Nishikori! And yet... Not a single title in Grand Slams (where to even reach the finals it's already epic) and only 12 titles (6 on ATP 250 tournaments and other 6 on ATP 500 tournaments)... The thing it's not "who can beat the big 3"... The real game is... who managed to have so many ATP and in particular... as many titles as any of the big 3. And no one gets closer. Not Kei Nishikori for sure... but Kei is a real hard worker with a great character. (not at all like a presumptuous Murray) ;)
