Hey everyone! As things are getting tougher than ever on Youtube with various new policies & rules, I've decided to start this page where you can support me if you'd like to help out: buymeacoffee.com/razols Any amount would be super appreciated and help me invest more of my time into making videos. I've had my channel for more than 8 years now mainly uploading videos of Roger Federer. This year Youtube has implemented some changes to their policies and rules which have made it difficult for many of us amateur channels to keep going, hence why I started the page above. I'm also planning on starting a Patreon page with memberships which will offer some exclusive videos, like the top 1000 video, that I can't currently have up on my channel. Thanks for all the support over the years 🎾

Monfils played n1 exequo with Federer during 4 sets, amazing tennis level to both. This match level was out of this world!!!
  • The athletic difference between these two came out in the last sets. Anyway, it's such a shame that the fastest guy ever on court didn't have at least a GS final or a M1000 title. He deserved something better over his career

We all know Fed, but man, Monfils here played really great, nothing for the hype, all for a great solid powerful tennis, unfortunately too short in the fourth set. But man, congrats to both of them, and beautiful accolade at the net at the end, it says it all about the friendship and the respect between these two.

Can't even imagine the fitness level of these two. This was one of the hardest hitting tennis I've seen and both were chasing down shot after shot. These guys are super athletes and if you've ever played singles with a good opponent who rallies long, you can appreciate this level of tennis. Phenomenal tennis! Great mental strength won in the end. Go Roger!

I was there in 2014. It was incredible. I think Monfils ran out of mental and physical steam. The two things that Federer has an abundance of. What a match! It was the best I've seen live.

I have never been so sad when I learned that Federer had retired. What made it so much worse was that he did not want to retire--he was forced to due to injuries. If not for his injuries, he would still be playing today and would easily be ranked in the top 5. Roger is the G.O.A.T. to me!

Sir Roger federer golden legend in universal love you so much miss you so much teniss history best player ❤❤❤
  • This match was the first and last time I have seen Federer in person. Monfils was a beast and super fast around the court and you could hear his sneakers scream under his feet, Fed on the other hand was cat like or should I say a whisper quiet ninja. 2014 US open was a missed opportunity for Federer in my books given his two other rivals didn't make it either. Wish I could have seen him prior to 2008 or in 2017, must have been a sight to behold.

It was Always a pleasure see you on court i miss you so much

As good as he can play, it’s a shame Monfils never put it together for an entire tournament and got a slam to his name.

I was so psyched after this comeback, Feds winning the US Open… no he crashed to Cilic in one of the most one sided slam losses of his career. Felt like a massive missed opportunity when Nishikori beat Djokovic.

Prime example of how slow courts handicapped Federer’s important arsenals like Drop shots, slices and Serve to some extent. If you’ve watched the whole match you could tell how many of the extraordinary drop shots from Federer bounced too high that the opponent reached it with ease.
  • @Filippirgos
Since Federer retired I actually lost the desire to watch tennis... For example I know Australian Open is being played at the moment but I just don't want to watch it. Maybe in a year or two desire comes back...
  • @Mongovi
Funny story about this match; I worked at Kmart (More expensive Wal-Mart yet just as crappy) and kept checking the score by randomly walking across to the Electronics department. When I got home, my dad was watching a DVR recording of the match, so I started watching with him. The recording suddenly cut out, and my dad jumps off the couch and yells "HE'S SIGNIN' BALLS". That's how we found out he came back lmao.

The Big 3 dominated for a long time because they effectively mastered shot selection at important moments. Gael played superbly in this match but failed to convert at crucial times.

A good match to show when people accuse Fed of having no clutch game. Great upload, thanks.
