Who is Dr. Ergin? Dr. Ahmet Ergin is an endocrinologist with a particular interest and passion for diabetes care. Dr. Ergin earned his medical degree with honors at Marmara University School of Medicine in Istanbul, Turkey. Then, he completed his internal medicine residency and endocrinology fellowship at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. He is also a certified diabetes education specialist.

  • Dear Dr Ergin , after watching and listening to your instructions for over a year. Have gotten rid of type 2 diabetes . HbA1C from 10.2 over a year ago to 5.5 remaining steady for now one year. I’m 72 years old and also gave up all sugar and processed foods. Yourself and Dr Lustig explaining the sugar in all foods scenarios drove those points home to me. Also exercise every day walking up to 12 to 14,000 steps a day in a hilly terrain. Thank you for your contributions to healthy options and your videos to the public needs . Larry

    Good morning Dr Erwin , after one year following your amazing councils my A1C dropped to 54 ; the blood sugar at fasting early in the morning was 122 mg ; the Vit D is low 16.5 mg and Vit B12 is 200 . My LDL cholesterol is 200 mg and last year it was 240 mg . HDL is 60 , because I have been using walnuts and Almonds . I lost 15 Kg and I am 70 years old . I am 90 Kg and 1,60 cm . I live in Milan Italy . I am a second degree Obese . I think I need to go for a long walk between Milan and Florida to lose more weight . Unfortunately , during winter in Milan it’s so cold and ☔️ rainy that I Cannot go for a walk . My life is very sedentary for 6 months . I thank you so much for your brilliant medical advice .   • There's a drink called Switchel that is made with apple cider vinegar, fresh ginger, and sweetened with honey or maple syrup, that is often served in the farm culture in Wisconsin. They would always say that it promotes good health. Now I understand why. When I had cancer, I heard that lemons can be as potent as chemotherapy, because they contain so much vitamin C. People said even to eat the lemon peels from organic lemons, which I did of course. I currently drink lemon water every day. Also I make homemade vinaigrette with apple cider vinegar, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and maybe some mustard or honey. Toss that on a green salad with beets, oranges, apples, and it's food medicine. Thank you for your medical information on this. I appreciate.

    DR ERGIN you're awesome!! I join your channel couple days ago, I just learned a week ago that I have diabetes and I've learned so much from you... I've seen success stories from people writing messages in your videos and it's really amazing my blood sugars were 600 in the beginning of this week it went down to 373 pretty much into 300 all this week and yesterday around 6 p.m. it was 200 I was so excited that I wanted to do cartwheels I'm on 20 units of insulin but I just started that dosage within the last 48 hours so that higher amount of insulin is actually working along with the healthy foods I've been eating so I wanted to say thank you thank you thank you I could thank you a million times your videos are so informative and you explain things so well and I love your accent not to mention you're very handsome❤❤❤

I do limit it properly. Always Love your videos and like that you mention your wife always. I do need to make it routine once again. I had run out of apple cider vinegar. It has helped me with weight loss and my A1C. My skin clearer also.
