Following Dr. Berg's recommendations starting in 2017, I've done all of this. Got rid of the sugars, the grains, the processed oils, fruit except a few berries; lost weight, lost all the pain I was carrying around in my body, lost my inflexibility, lost my vision blurriness, lost my skin tags and brown armpits, lost having to go to the bathroom numerous times at night, lost my sugar and carb cravings, and I'm 65. I feel better now and am thinner than I was after 8th grade. I know I was having hypoglycemia already at age 6 in first grade; now I can go 72 hours without eating and not even notice. Great advice in your video. Thanks.

I had very high blood sugar 😢 I only managed to improve my health when I found a WONDERFUL treatment, if you want to know about it, I left the video in the comment reply

Good video! Two months ago, my A1C level of 5.8 put me into the prediabetes category. Even though I thought my doctor was going to suggest something like Metformin when he said I needed to address my blood sugar, he instead said I needed to do the following: No more sugar or hidden sugars; no more bread; no more potatoes; no more rice; only eat foods that were not considered "high" on the glycemic index. Additionally, walk 30 minutes a day for at least 5 days of each week. So that is what I have done. I've already lost 12 lbs and some of my morning aches and pains. The only thing I've really missed is my craft beers, as beer is "liquid bread" when it comes to the glycemic index (however, he did approve of my nightly nightcap of a shot of bourbon). I'm hoping my A1C test in October will also reflect the results of my efforts.

Week #3….no processed foods, no sugar. Eating a Mediterranean diet. Started moving. Intermittent fasting. Overweight, 67 yrs old, I feel so much better already! Eating all clean foods! I’ve stopped craving sweets already! Highly recommend! This video pretty much covers it all! All of the info I’ve gotten from watching many of the YouTube docs and nutritionist! Cause guess what, your regular docs aren’t talking about any of this. Just writing you a script! Good luck everyone, and thanks for such a good video!

I am a 66 yr old woman. I’ve gained 30 lbs during Covid-19 by eating carbs, smoothies and junk food. Now I am Insulin Resistance and have high blood sugar, and high blood pressure! I am starting Intermittent Fasting and your wonderful advice. Thank you 😊

66, was diagnosed prediabetic 6.1 a1c in march and now 4 months later im 5.6 a1c. i did not completely eliminate sugar and white bread i only cut down a whole lot on them. i can eat 3 or 4 chips and put the bag away or a few fries and throw the rest away. i also drink pepsi zero sugar in the 7 ounce mini can and it doesnt make me crave. also when i order a burger i throw away the bottom half of the bun. i also lost 20 pounds in those 4 months by just cutting down and not eliminating.

I cook my salmon with butter, it makes it taste really nice.

I had pre-diabetes while I was in Taiwan in the early 2000s. I just went about my daily life and ate normally but I also biked everywhere I went. Eventually, biking everywhere I became habit to this day. I went in for a general checkup two months ago and had a blood test done as well. Doctor said I was in remarkable health for a person at 55. Likewise, the my blood test results came back with zero issues. Just watch what you eat and if when you do want to eat the unhealthy foods do so only on holiday gatherings.

Thank you - *finally* an anti-diabetes video that doesn’t demonise fruit.
  • I was diagnosed with Type II about just shy of 2 weeks ago. My A1C was over 10, my blood sugar was coming in around 368. I'm 11 days out from that, my blood sugar has been under 120 consistently. Basically what I'm saying is I reversed Type II in under 2 weeks. How? I cut out sweet tea/lemonade and went to coffe with stevia and spring water sometimes with squeezed lemon. My food has been a cut above from what many would be used to. Steel Cut oatmeal with fresh fruits or Eggs and Sausage or Ham steak for breakfast, Enchilada Casserole or Chicken/Beef Kafta for lunch, often with pico de gallo or tabouli (slightly less bulgur wheat than usual), and Pork chops with broccoli (salted and sprayed with lemon juice), okra, whatever. If I need a snack, I eat roasted peanuts from the shell and cashews. I try to keep my plate ratio 1/2 veggies and 1/2 meats with some fats. I walk around the block twice a day (about 20 mins each time) and do 3 sets of 4 arm exercises with 10lb weights. I did all of this in the midst of fighting Acute Myeloid Leukemia, Lung Cancer and Myelodysplatic Syndrome. You can beat diabetes into submission if you're willing to be disciplined. Just shop the produce and meat section, avoid the starchy vegetables and sweet drinks and you'll be surprised.
  • One of the biggest misconceptions that everyone repeats is that beef is mostly saturated fat, it is NOT, most beef fat is monounsaturated fat, the BEST fat for you.
  • @dcrosco1458
When i first started watching my blood sugar levels because my doctor asked me to it was 280 this was 3 yrs ago. I really still did not care back then, but at the beginning of the yr I started a new diet of meat and dropped my blood sugar level down from 280 to 150 in the first month. It is still at 150-130 range. Worked hard to get it down to that level and happy. Feel like I have more energy like I did when i ran a marathon.
  • @llednaselyod8048
I grind low fat steaks into beef patties then add one tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil into the mix per pound with sea salt before cooking, this makes the juiciest great tasting burger.
  • Just so you know after being Carnivore for two years now, My lab bloodwork has completely improved. Though I agree with much of what you said - eating carnivore has dropped my blood pressure, my triglycerides have fallen through the floor. Margarine is just a bunch of chemicals - There is no man made commercial food that can hold a candle to trying to stay as close to the food the way God created them. I have also completely reversed Type2 Diabetes, lost 90 lbs effortlessly and feel better than I have in decades.- I'm 67 yrs old and my metabollic health has improved 100% Off all pharma drugs. - PLEASE look into carnivore before you give it a negative spin. The biggest problem with the American Diet - is that people eat SO MUCH highly processed foods and SUGAR. Grain free, sugar free 2 yrs and counting.
  • I enjoy your show...most on YouTube is garbage... I am a retire nurse and an MPH, after retirement I moved to China and amazing to experience the diet here. As a NIDDM I was on meds for over 20 years, I can affirm that diet changes everything. Please keep posting. I share with others here. Good job! Kudos to you sir!
  • @toni4729
I've been living on a carnivore diet for more than thirty years and I'm now a seventy-one-year-old woman in excellent health, thank you very much. I consider your opinion on my diet, a poor one.
  • @II-jv9yx
I went on to the carnivore diet and lost 76 lbs, reversed my diabetes 2 very quickly. No veg, fruit, sugars, processed foods, legumes, breads or carbs for me.
