I watched alot of your videos before quitting and now have been smoke free for 14 days Thanks Joel

I was always told that if I quit smoking I will gain weight. I haven't had a cigarette for 10 days, and lost 5 pounds. Before I quit, I was drinking Dr. Pepper with my cigarette, and now I drink mostly water. Now that I'm not smoking, I've had people to offer me cigarettes, and even packs of cigarettes. I just smile, and say no thanks. On the inside I'm saying I would love to have one, but I know in my heart, I can never give in or I'll be hooked once again.

The reality is, I quit cold turkey after 28 years, I started at 21. I have not lived my adult life yet, without cigarettes. It is a whole new lifestyle have to learn to do. I am up for the challenge, and learning what non-smokers do.

It amazes me how, at seemingly random times, I'll want one -- & I'm only 4 days into my quit! On day one I was trying to find something to do to keep my mind occupied, so I figured I'd water the plants. While the watering can was filling up I had the thought "well, I'm gonna be waiting a while. Guess i'll light one up." Yeesh. That urge was one of the worst I've had since I quit. All that to say, it's enlightening to see my smoking self as a non-smoker. I was such a slave to those things!

Today was a hard day. Day 10. I was in the store ready to buy a pack but I didn't. I couldn't. It's like the old me's voice is getting smaller and the new me's voice is getting bigger. Your videos help me so much before bed I watch them almost every night to keep me inspired and on track. God bless you and thank you

well said Joel. I've been 8 days smoke free and at some points of the day it's so easy. But I get really tough moments when I do something that before would always be with a cigarette. This as you say is going to take years. As time goes by I'm sure each activity or associated moment will get easier.

Oh, I definitely don't want to a cigarette. The withdrawal symptoms are a bitch though, pretty happy that they're not there all the time. This is a drug addiction, nothing more, nothing less. 11 days into withdrawal and I slept 3 hours last night :|

Between you and Alan Carr you guys are the best. Second time ive quit without caring about having a smoke even on the booze. This time I will not have another puff

I think he meant that his brain now resembles that of a non smoker in terms of the acetylcholine in the brain. http://whyquit.com/whyquit/A_Benefits_Time_Table.html

A woman I know was 17 years without smoke, she is now a smoker again that says when I am ready I will quit. I believe Joel is correct saying, the only way is to have another , puff.
