OMG same thing is happening down in South Africa. I'm in my 20s and not so long ago I just had a presence of mind to start sleeping earlier as early as 8pm even, and even down to 7pm and 6pm. The key is to sleep as soon as the darkness of night begins to cover the land; evening, and to wake up as soon as the light of morning begins to cover the land; dawn. It is incredible how spiritually connected the whole world is! πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ’«

Our elders always advised .. Early to bed, early to rise, makes you healthy wealthy and wise . (a quote by Benjamin Franklin 250 years ago)

Everything that happens after 10 pm is almost always a waste of time and energy in the long run.

So it's happening globally! People are realizing sleeping early is good or just due to their kids, they are sleeping early. Its good anyways, for the aware or for those, doing it due to their children. However, don't think it's a cup of tea for all.

I’m GenZ and go to sleep around 10-10:30 PM. I do it because I’m more productive in the morning than at night. I get more done in the morning. But this excludes nights out of course.

My system fails to create a routine. I slept anytime i want, but i can't think of an occasion where i slept before 10pm. It can be 11PM today, 4AM tomorrow, 2AM the next day and so on. When i was still a teacher, this late sleep would trouble me during lectures, i feel false headache due to lack of rest. I could do better, but weird me, i quite teaching and soled on to freelancing. Now am free. Worst yet, I don't get up before 8:30 AM anymore , so my rest is sufficient for my system. Once up, i work my ass like ma mama needs a jet. But there's always at least 2 hours between work and rest which i use for leisure. This time can go as much as 6 hours in a non typical day. Freelancing is a fvcking darling.

Palki, this is going to be very good for health as well as human relations. Will be happy to actively support this !!
  • for around 2 months in 2021 i slept between 9 to 9:30, woke up happily by 5:30 or 6 am. super energized for the day. ate dinner by 7:30 or 8PM. This does wonders to your life. But i couldn't continue this for longer cause my family usually eats dinner late. hence, we sleep late. i used to live away from family when i did that. it was life changing. i want to restart it.

It’s also cheap to sleep and helps with stress and depression. Sleep as much as you can.
