In this video, I check the end play on the crankshaft.
The crankshaft rides in two Timkin roller bearings and the rear bearing plate has to be shimmed with gaskets to achieve .001- .004" of end to end play in the the crankshaft. This will keep everything on the crank running true!
I'd suggest using a torque wrench for this procedure as it will take several tries and you want to matain the same torque on the bolts for every test.
