Maybe it's just me, but Jake's book just gives off the vibe of how a sexual predator thinks? "Never take no for an answer, it's yours you just have to take it"-mindset. Uncomfortable af
  • as someone (with boobs) i can confirm that it’s really annoying when i’m trying to text a boy but my boobs text him instead.

jake’s book was just nasty. telling middle schoolers about his sex life and acting like it’s okay to objectify women
  • @Kebbysheepman
Sometimes when I feel self conscious about my writing I come back to this video to remind myself that, no matter what I write, it will never be as horrendous as whatever Jake Paul spat out onto those pages. Good god.
  • He literally said to teen girls “I know you might be insecure and obsess over your appearance, but don’t worry- guys are obsessing over your appearance”
  • @withle7502
Jake’s book reads like a third grader writing an “about me” paper after coming back from summer vacation

as a minor and someone who has a uterus, i had to fully take a few minutes to process things after hearing the whole 'guys are obsessed with what girls look like naked' thing because, what the actual fuck. thats genuinely so gross. gotta be some of the most vile shit ive ever heard. like, we are already paranoid enough about sexual harassment and being objectified, ive heard boys my age talk about the girls in some of the most mortifyingly shocking disgusting ways, so for jake paul to preach that to his fanbase of mainly 12-13 y/o children basically trying to say that its okay is so genuinely disgusting to me

Gabby Hanna’s book feels like if tumblr and “I’m 14 and this is deep” had a kid

As someone who wants to be an author and knows how hard it is to get a book deal, it insults me so much when YouTubers treat it like a chore and don’t give a shit about what they’re writing

i’ve never heard a better description of youtuber book youtubers than “i’m just a 30 year old 15 year old”
  • @JStack
6:41 how have we all moved past the fact Jake was attracted to cars before girls
  • “I’m wearing sweatpants and I just had a pb&j smoothie” homeboy really tried to vlog through a book (….book vlog = blog… 🤯 )
  • "She was insert hair color and had an athletic body-- exactly my type."
  • imagine being a tree and growing for years and years to be cut down and be made into jake or gabby’s book
  • @jessicad4364
Ah yes as a girl I remember even through puberty “clothes, hair, makeup, and jewelry” were my main focus and not ballet and science. 💀
  • - tyler oakley's had a really interesting perspective on eating disorders, and was the thing that got me interested in learning about mental illnesses and neurodivergence - dan and phil's was like rhet and link's, and i found it very interactive and cute, however it was definitely written with their younger audience in mind - shane dawson's made me uncomfortable
  • A millennial using the phrase “Scrolling through the book” is a boomer cartoon’s wet dream
  • I'm so confused why Jake's book was so sexual in tone. Like who was this marketed for??
  • I feel like through this book he is constantly trying to prove to us that he has in fact actually talked to a girl before
