Well, this video ended up being a little longer than I initially expected so I hope it isn't TOO boring!

This is basically a demonstration of just about everything that a Toro V-1550 series rotor is capable of, including its adjustable stream trajectory feature (called "TruJectory") and adjustable flow. Although no longer in production, these rotors were rather unique and offered many great features that most other 3/4-inch rotors on the market at the time did not have. In combination with the adjustable stream trajectory from 7º up to 25º, their "MultiMatrix" nozzle design allowed for selectable flow rates from 1 GPM up to 9 GPM by simply turning the ring on top of the head to the desired approximate flow, all without physically removing and replacing the nozzle. These came as a standard 4" lawn popup model (V-1550-4, seen here) as well as a 12" high-pop model (V-1550-12) and a fixed riser-mounted shrub model (V-1550-S), and were available in all models as either an adjustable part circle version or a continuous, non-adjustable full circle version.

  • never seen a rotor with a bunch of little nozzles making up one stream. you know till I saw your rotor vids I didn't know most rotors have more than one nozzle making up the flow
  • Hi does this have a special radius adjustment key from toro or you can use the k rain or hunter keys or screw driver to adjust the radius?

I always thought that rotors like this were really cool. It's like all of a sudden everyone stopped trying to innovate. Why?
