Anxiety is real. Laziness is real as well. They can both co-exist at once too.
-
The more you stay at home, dwell on thoughts, isolate yourself the more anxiety you get, at least that was the case for me.
-
$28k a year in Seattle? They ARE starving to DEATH.
-
Spent $100,000 on a degree she never got AND doesn't work. I think we found the problem. Husband chose poorly.
-
Callers anxiety started after she stopped working. Maybe her anxiety was triggered by her financial situation.
-
Less debt will most likely help reduce your anxiety.
-
That was brutal. She doesn’t want to work Dave. You know what else brings anxiety? Being in poverty and 100K debt.
-
$28000 for two people is unlivable
-
Imagine having $100k in student loans but no degrees to show for it
-
I admire the way Dave handled this call. Really modelled the right way to talk to someone with anxiety issues
-
Its crazy how debt makes a huge difference. I make 28000 a year but I don't have any debt of any kind, no kids,, and I live quite comfortably in my state. It's not always about how much you make, its what you do with what you make. 💯
-
I almost threw my phone when she said no one has degrees after 100k in student loan debt. 😳 I hope they were able to get more income
-
My anxiety and depression was at it's worst when I was unemployed. She needs to get back out there and DO something. Her mentally health will improve
-
"My anxiety came after I stopped working"...well, there's your answer. Go back to work, and that will help a lot of the anxiety. I would be anxious too if I was sitting at home in debt doing nothing about it.
-
Not being mean but she sounds to me like a professional victim
-
His face when she said “my anxiety came after I stopped working” like she quit because she is lazy jaaa
-
I love Dave's adaptability with vulnerable callers - he is firm, fair and tactful.
-
It sounds like her anxiety comes from her being unemployed and feeling powerless. When she gets a job and feels she has some kind of control over her debt, life and future, her anxiety will disappear.
-
I struggled making 26k a year as a single person. I can't imagine having a wife and kid with all that debt.
-
Respect to Dave for treating this lady with the utmost respect. I understand anxiety, but to be in your 40's and seeing your family struggle with money and not work? I hope she's in a better place now.
