  • This is, without a doubt, the most thorough and understandable presentation of addiction I have ever seen. The "matter of factness" and medically supported logic helps anyone who has ever dealth with or been associated with addiction to understand it. This should be a requirement in the education of every single healthcare professional. As a surgeon, I have spent 2.5 years attempting to fully understand the mechanisms involved with addiction that lead to actions that often are unexplainable and non-defensible. These actions are often incredibly uncharacteristic of the person we know and love. Highly advised to watch and send to anyone you know involved in medicine, at any level, as well as those who are stuggling with addiction personally or dealing with someone who is.

Kudos to this amazing person. Game changer for sure. I'm currently in residential treatment this is my third time watching this video and have showed countless others. I've sent it along to my family members in the hopes it gives us a catalyst to begin healing. I can truly appreciate how much work went into this presentation and the supporting research. What really pulls at my heart strings is the fact that after all the hard work Dr. Labor still takes a moment to reach out to the still sick and suffering and offer a message of hope.

Dr. Labor - you're the real deal. Thank you for sharing this information but also thank you for dedicating your life to this profession! We need more of you. I run support groups for families of addicted loved ones. I share this video over and over again with them. The information you share here is what so many families need to understand so they can find hope but also find compassion and understanding for their loved ones without trying to fix their problems. Thank you!
