I'm 32 days sober! I was drinking a 12-pk plus of twisted tea a day.. I quit cold turkey! Edit: 74 days and going strong! If I can do it, you can too! Tunnel vision, baby. Edit: 111 days sober. I feel great and have so much more energy. I often come back here to read the comments when temptations are real. YOU GUY'S ROCK! 💪

2days sober. Lost cars, jobs, friendships, the best relationship of my life, freedom at times, etc etc. I’m just having enough. I’m trying so hard and I hope I have the strength to keep going, bro.
  • One of the best lines I read said it all to me: sobriety gives you everything that alcohol promised.

One thing that helped me was this quote: Addiction is giving up everything for one thing. Recovery is giving up one thing for everything. Kept me on the straight and narrow. Best wishes from Australia

Alcoholism, takes away everything, for one thing. Sobriety, takes away one thing, for everything. I am 52 days sober, today. I am also 61 yrs.old. It is never too late (unless you're dead) to reclaim your life and joy. I should know, I've been in and out of recovery, for 30yrs. 💜. Jaye, a very grateful, and recovering alcoholic ... Blessings, to all 🙏
  • 5 years sober. Best thing I ever did. I challenged myself to a year. When I got to the end, I realised I didn’t want to drink anymore anyway. I felt amazing, my life had changed. No longer on medications, 4am wake ups for the gym. Learning new skills. I’m 39 years old and the best I’ve been in my whole life. Finding out more and more who I am every day. I still go out to pubs/clubs, concerts, parties. I just do it sober. It was scary to start but now it’s second nature. I drank to excess from 16 years old until I was 33 years old. I got injured, I lost friends, I had anxiety, OCD and depression. I embarrassed myself, I wasted money and I smoked cigarettes (which I gave up the same day) There has not been one bad outcome from being sober. Not one.

I was drinking every day after work, I looked forward to it, I enjoyed the taste and effects of beer, wine, bourbon, it was a daily habit for several years. I basically didn't drink when I was married. I went through a divorce when I turned 40, I started going out with friends to bars and my drinking became a daily habit. That went on for the past 18 years........I'm 58 years old now, I had my last drink January 1st of 2023.......

I've been drinking everyday for the past three years since covid pandemic started. I drank heavily too. I am 2 days sober today and glad I've found this video. I have worked my way out of denial and building the motivation to get me out of this hole that I've dug myself into.

5 years sober here… the first week is horrible, emotional roller coaster. I was crying angry proud weak .. just everything. After the 2nd week emotions ease off a bit but cravings continue. A month in and u feel like u got this. 3 months later ur going to feel your body and ur attitude starting to change for the better. 6 months is dangerous because u feel that your healed so u start making excuses to have one beer or one glass . U can’t let alcohol touch your tongue at all once you’re on this path because it will take you back. After a whole year I finally was able to sleep without nightmares of me drinking and ruining my sobriety they felt so real I was glad they stopped .. 2 years and ur good just remember not to ever let it touch your tongue again.. it snow balls.. I feel like it’s a demon that wants back in and will make up any excuse for u to let him in… don’t do it be strong ❤

My husband and i quit drinking almost 4 years ago. We drank everyday, for 3 years straight. Early 30s with little kids. It all started with just a twisted tea, then we were bringing vodka and rum home every couple days. We fought all the time our kids were scared it was a very toxic environment. One night, we got in a huge fight that nearly ended both our lives and that was the last time we drank. I pray to God to keep us sober till the day we die, because sober life is the BEST life, it is amazing to wake up and love life and love each other and feel great. We both lost a ton of weight, we eat healthy, we do things with our kids as a family, we find happiness in the little things in life! Thank you Jesus
  • 200 days alcohol free today It’s sooo worth giving yourself a life 🙏🏻 xxx

12 yrs sober... still remember what it was like. So much pain. So much fear. So much sickness. My heart goes out to ANYONE in addiction. I say a silent prayer for the forgotten masses.

I’m 67 and 12 years sober. I drank for over 25 years. One black out/ hangover my husband and daughter said.. you have to do something we can’t do this anymore. For some reason nobody had ever confronted me like that. I stood in the shower and said to myself “ I need help”. A huge weight lifted in that moment.. I’d been trying to fix it on my own for years and always failing. I found help and support from others who suffered from alcohol. It made all the difference knowing I’m not alone.
  • My life was out of control and on the verge of losing my job at 32. I had 90 days treatment, my whole life got better. Stayed sober 22 years. And then, I dated a man who insisted I could 'drink responsibly' and insisted I join him in his family's traditional drink. I had one, didnt want more and started to believe the lie. Im now 64 and right back to problem drinking. I am sharing this for one reason. Please don't ever think you can go back to it or it will eventually take you down. I pray I can get my life back again. One day at a time.

I’m a 43 year old Irish ☘️ man and I’m sober 3 years this august. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made . I was a happy go lucky drinker but honestly riddled in anxiety the days after . I loved the feeling it gave me but hated the hangovers . I was simply sick and tired of being sick and tired. I’ve seen it turn people into monsters I’m convinced that it lowers your vibration so low we are subjected to bad spirts that engulf our bodies and turn us into demons . But that’s a cop out it’s actually our suppressed anger and traumas being released . Clarity is amazing and being in control of your Acton’s and reactions is powerful . Namaste to all

I could remember several years ago I was diagnosed with ADHD. Also suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until my mom recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms
  • I started drinking alcohol since my teenage, spent my whole life fighting alcohol addiction. Also suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. This is something that really need to be used globally to treatment certain health challenges.
