If they get Joel and Ellie’s relationship right, the show will be a huge success

1:35 "You might not be her father, but you were someone's"... Gives me chills after watching the season up until this point and knowing what that means and seeing how their relationship has changed.

Honestly, I’m glad that I didn’t watch any of the trailers until now. The show is bloody amazing and deserved for the full experience to be reserved for when you actually see it.

Pedro Pascal has a talent playing characters with tough exteriors who are trying to transport children across long distances slowly starting to love that child like his own despite seeing them merely as cargo at the beginning of the journey.

Seeing the two brothers that Joel and ellie meet broke my heart, I'm not ready for that again

Never even heard of the game but this show is outstanding. Very high production values, believable acting, excellent story. Honestly this show is as good as the first few seasons of game of thrones ever was. Game of thrones, The sopranos, Chernobyl, Band of brothers. This show stands with the very best that HBO has ever produced.

One of the best shows I've ever seen. I've never played the games, but the show moved me to tears a couple times. Can't wait for season two. Solid solid writing and acting.

I love how they perfectly show how the world within The Last of Us can still be funny, cathartic, and worth living despite how horrifically heartbreaking it can be. I can't wait.

Wow! If I had a nickel for every time Pedro Pascal took on a role where he first sees a child as nothing but cargo but then grows to love as a father, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice!

I liked how they changed certain scenarios whilst also giving references to the original outcomes, such as the truck in the car scene. Overall the actors have portrayed their characters personalities very well. Additional lore has also been added into this show and some elements of the fungi have been adapted. Ultimately an equal series to the games!

It's officially been 1 year since it premiered! Definitely the best video game adaptation thus far and they took a lot of inspiration from the first two games Although I felt they rushed through a few things Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey are dynamite and I absolutely love what they did with Storm Reid even the surprise cameo from Ashley Johnson herself (the original voice actress!) 😄 So far they are on the right track with this, I’m very eager for season 2 of how much they can adapt from that Excited but it doesn't come out until 2025 They already casted Isabela Merced and Kaitlyn Dever as characters from the second game

If the emotional storytelling will be as good as in the game, you already know there will be tears rolling down your face when watching this show.

I wasn't sure on Bella as Ellie, but with the trailers, she's been growing on me. That part when Ellie jokes about twitching, was a certified Ellie moment.

(Spoilers): Wow, that final episode of season 1 was so good, such a good ending 😭 Joel is so protective of Ellie since she feels like a daughter to him now. I’ve cried so much during this show. It’s a masterpiece and one of my favourite shows. Everyone, especially Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal, are so talented and they all did an amazing job. I’m looking forward to season 2. Everyone involved in this show did an incredible job. That whole hospital scene in the last episode was intense. Joel would do anything to protect Ellie because he already lost his own daughter and he doesn’t wanna lose Ellie who is now like a daughter to him. Such a good ending 😭 10/10 show in my opinion, I loved it so much

One of the reasons this show was really good was because the people behind the game were very heavily involved in the production of the show even down to the actors.

Having "take on me" play loud and ominously in the background to this trailer is a cool little change-up to Ellie's soft and gentle version in the second game. I have no doubts this is going to be excellent!
