  • Im 72, watched many races at all levels. Ive seen some impressive records set. It is always very exciting to be able to watch some young athlete give a performace like this. That young lady started that race in high gear and in the last lap she hit overdrive. What a race.

That girl was like a machine. Kept consistent the whole race. Congratulations to her. That is awesome.

Very respectful of the young lady around 13:40 who was aware of Leachman coming up behind her and moving over a lane to let her pass.

This video was awesome. Her speed was incredible. No overwhelming commentary, no video cuts, replays, etc. It shows what it’s like to be there in a stadium witnessing history, and my god she was moving!

As a dad with a son and a daughter who both run competitively, this was emotional for me. What heart this young lady showed. How wonderful that the crowds were led to cheer her on. Beautiful to watch. Love from Sydney - Dave
  • Don't know how it ended up in my feed, but that was tremendous! I couldn't believe what a fast burst she put on right at the end.

At about 3:29 she is running so relaxed, the camera is zoomed in on her, and you can see her smile as she rounds the curve. She is definitely feeling good. It is such a blessing to be able to watch such a talented athlete performing at such a young age. Good things are ahead for her.
  • This girl is plays in a different league, is from a different planet... She is wonderful!

She's what 15? It is early in the season, no competition. Whew! Keep injury free, my girl. You're going places.
  • And… she sprinted to the end. I love to see this level of hard work by our young people.

THAT is a women’s sports record-breaking! Well done. πŸ‘

Over 5 seconds faster than Valby's 2023 NCAA Outdoor 5000m Championship. Super impressive given Leachman ran this COMPLETELY alone from the gun. That's crazy hard. At least Valby had a chase pack always within 3-4 secs to provide motivation for the entire race until the last 800m... when she started to kick. This girl reminds me of Natalie Cook. Has her speed and talent, but Leachman seems to be A LOT more durable and biomechanically more efficient.
  • That was truly amazing. That is an outstanding performance for any high school athlete, but for a sophomore to do it is unbelievable. Elizabeth Leachman? I'll remember that name. Very well done. Her running style, while being used for a distance race, looks to me like that of sprinter Michael Johnson.

She's absolutely a distance runner, one of the best ever! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Way to go Elizabeth. I just saw this video and I'm sure everyone like me, is proud of you. God knows, your hard work is paying off. Keep going for it, God bless you.

Great run by Beth! Excited to watch her career unfold. And props to the athlete at 13:38 for making way - that's good track etiquette.
  • @koishooter
Faster than Katelyn and she's a sophomore?!?! I would never have believed it if I didn't see it. She runs faster than I did as a senior in HS and I won A LOT of races. This is just amazing!
