Jumbo and Jonas played this tour very well, by focusing on making the tour so hard that pogi couldnt recover as well because Jonas needed less watts to complete the stages, and by the last week pogi started to crack.

The biggest differents between the two, is that when Tadej attacks, he takes seconds, but when Jonas attacks, he takes minutes

I am happy for Jonas. I'm a big fan. But Mahoric has blown away everyone..it will be a winning speech that cannot be defeated for ages to come!!

The point in not having the yellow jersey that early in the tour is not because of media. It’s because your team hast to put in a lot of effort to keep on pacing the peloton to protect the GC lead. However, regarding your statement, Adam (his teammate) took the jersey so they still had to pace and Pogi held the young riders jersey from day one and had to attend on the podium after each race anyways

The pronounciation of Vingegaard 1.08 is almost perfect! Great job!

I disagree with this analysis: 1. Ice bath is not like a helicopter ride. It’s not that big of a privilege. 2. Jonas spent most of the past 12 months training for the tour, with him completely going under the radar for the second half of 2022. He only did a few races in 2023, mainly to compete with Pogacar. 3. Pogacar did a few races throughout the last 12 months. 4. Jonas trained A LOT for this specific time trial. You could see it in the way he took the turns and cycled in the descent. 5. I think JV’s strategy was for Jonas to ride defensively while staying on Pogacar’s wheel, while he went on attacks. So Pogi would crack on the third week while underestimating the fighting spirit of his main opponent. That’s my take on things

Definitely will raise a lot of eyebrows... Jonas power output was off the charts... But to be fair how jonas attacked those corners, he really took some risks, that run was flawless.

The Tour 2022 was better. The advantage. The explosive attacks. The unexpected. The total team work. The omnipresent WvA.

Last year I was exited for this Tour now I'm even more exited for next year, didn't think that was possible.

at 11:15 , the reason urska zigart said this to pogacar was because she crashed badly in the womens giro donne stage 6, not because pogacar was struggeling
  • 9:50 I think it is actually smart of pogacar to take mental breaks because burn out mentally can do much worse than burn out physically
  • @Octavarium666xyz
@11:05 is about Stage 5 iirc. He wanted to go home because Urzka fell on Giro d'Italia and ended up in a hospital.

Vingegaard built an incredible self believe after the win in 22. His team played a huge part on his win in the last tour, but this year he was just flat out stronger than anyone else. He was so strong and so confident, in ways that started to affect pogi's psychologically. Everytime pogačar attacked, Jonas never broke down completely, in stages that favored pogačar. This was a massive boost to vingegaard mental capacity that was already super strong at the start of this tour. By trying everything to Crack vingegaard and never quite succeeded, pogi broke down himself with mental fatigue, which reached a major high point on the trial before the queen stage. More importantly than than the physical preparation, pogačar needs to rebuild himself mentally, prepare himself to endure different challanges throughout the tour and adapt himself to vingegaard's and jumbo's strenghs.
  • This will be a great video to come back to in the years to come. It’s already nostalgic!

Not that iam danish, but what Jonas did this year was superb. After last year,I feared that T.P would be better than Jonas, but the power Jonas get down these pedals is never seen before. Its great to ba a dane 😉🇩🇰☮️🙏
  • What most people tend to neglect is how well TJV and JV have planned the whole Tour. A GT isn't normally won by gaining a few seconds here and there but by sticking to the plan that fits yourself the best. Before going into this years Tour, JV had two stages in mind that could bring him the title: the ITT and the stage after. JV executed the time trial by attacking every corner and every part of the relatively short stage. He has beaten Pogacar in an ITT before - last year he stopped pedalling to secure WVA the victory, so yes, he knows his TT bike. The stage after, he felt was one that was best suited for his capabilities, and that should be hard to beat Pogacar - which he did by several minutes. At the end of the day, it appears that TJV and JV only planned their Tour better, and regardless how things went in week 1 and 2. Keep in mind (also Pogacar!) a GT lasts 3 weeks.

Who ever says Vingegaard is using dope, have no idea about who he is and what he stands for - as a fellow Dane I'm proud of seeing what this incredible man can do. Holy moly! Thanks for the video!
