How Tadej Pogačar Changed the Tour de France

Published 2024-07-20
Gone are the days of boring Team Sky or US Postal dominance. Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard have made the Tour de France much more enjoyable to watch in the last 4 years. In this video we go into some thoughts behind why this is the case.

Tadej Pogacar soon becomes the first rider since Mercx, Indurain and Pantani to do the Giro d'Italia and Tour de France double. How did he do it? The 2024 Tour de France is coming to a close and it's been filled with great final kilomters and exciting highlights across all the mountains.

How will Jonas Vingegaard bounce back in the 2025 Tour de France? Will he take the yellow jersey or will Visma Lease A Bike look to focus elsewhere?

We can thank Sagan in part for how riders are racing today

You too can break one of Pantani's records by scrolling back up and liking this video. Pantani 0, you 1. 💪💪

True that the "Sky train" was incredibly BORING. That year when Wiggins won the TDF was probably the worst TDF ever. Happy to see Pogacar and some others ride with a bit of panache these days, even though it's still nothing compared to the races of last century.

Pogcar is amazing. I'm also extremely impressed with people like Van Der Poel competing in pretty much any type of bike race that exists.

Sorry bro but you reading the script is kinda distracting me from the content. No hate tho, great content, keep it coming.

This premise is wack. Everyone knows Vingegaard rode the Jumbo train to victory in 2022 and 23 same as Froome and Armstrong. This year Jonas's team is injured and so is he, but otherwise, they'd have tried to grind down Pog same as ever. Vin seems to be a nice guy but he isn't exactly an exciting cyclist, just a great climber on a great team battling a great opponent who IS exciting

How can riders today put out way more power than riders who doped in the past?
