My ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE ATHLETE OF ALL TIME. I too was a javelin thrower from 1984 too 1994, the " feeling" when u know you hit it perfectly and the way it left the hand is the feeling I loved when throwing, just the power and the ease when u hit it right no other feeling as a javelin thrower comes close, well maybe 1 lol π HAKAN

I could in high school throw 160 ft as a senior flat footed. With 2 steps it went to 170 feet. at 20 foot of run I did 204 ft. At 18 now and in college with no training I quit, but have always known I was a Jan. Not to take anything away from him. 1971 the coaches changed my focus to a crap run as hard as you can swing. Just love watching Jan do where I should have been. / maybe my grandsons will get involved.
