  • Consistency, humility, athleticism, refined technique, flexibility, speed, put that all together and you have Jan Zelezny

I was a javelinist from the age of 14 to 45... not very strong but I loved it! Zelezny was my biggest hero. Iron Man (Tony Stark) is only second...
  • My ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE ATHLETE OF ALL TIME. I too was a javelin thrower from 1984 too 1994, the " feeling" when u know you hit it perfectly and the way it left the hand is the feeling I loved when throwing, just the power and the ease when u hit it right no other feeling as a javelin thrower comes close, well maybe 1 lol 😊 HAKAN
  • And look at his throw angle and angle of attack. And the carry of the speed of his run right into the throw! Amazing!!

Legend zen zelezny love from India.
  • Throwing a javelin gives off enormous chad energy in my opinion, trust a man as far as he can throw a spear.

There it is. The secret hidden in plain sight: Effortless power. Explosive kinematic chain arm relaxed.

I could in high school throw 160 ft as a senior flat footed. With 2 steps it went to 170 feet. at 20 foot of run I did 204 ft. At 18 now and in college with no training I quit, but have always known I was a Jan. Not to take anything away from him. 1971 the coaches changed my focus to a crap run as hard as you can swing. Just love watching Jan do where I should have been. / maybe my grandsons will get involved.
