We really just have one goal - to make your food life better. Ok that, and be entertained at the same time. And have you learn a few things along the way. So let’s make it 3 goals then.

If you only want the steps to make something, like those vids shot from above with no people, no conversation no nuthin - then we are absolutely not for you. But if you wanna a little fun while you learn, then this is the place.

Cooking doesn’t have to be hard, it just has to be delicious.

Can we just talk about how this channel has better content than most food TV networks? Keep up the great work!
  • Sounds like a cool idea for a series. Basic recipes/skills that everyone should have a handle on... With Sam's flair of course!
  • I really liked this soup the first time I had it when I was a Beverage Manager at a fancy hotel in the Banquet Department. We hosted many Jewish weddings and other rites of passage over the years that I was there and I remember all the special preparations that had to be done to adhere to the Jewish laws regarding the proper preparation of Kosher foods before the Rabbi would come in to perform his blessings in our kitchen. Sparkling apple cider for the strict and those that were not so strict would sneak away from the elders to the main lobby bar for potent shots of their favorite liquor. Of course, as many celebrations go, some guests were no-shows. Their pre-plated meals were left untouched in the back halls, in hot boxes kept warm with lit Sternos. Whenever any of my staff or myself would go on break, we'd go straight to the leftover meals to cherry-pick. I discovered the soup and loved it. I still think back to those days and many great memories. I have enjoyed watching your videos for a couple years now and have tried several recipes that you have presented. I have tried some as-is, and have tweaked others to my particular taste. Some were winners, others, not so good as I would have hoped. Keep up the great work and keep these videos coming! What would be the chances that I could be selected for some free STCG merchandise if you are still giving any out? I'll keep my fingers crossed. 🤞
  • Love when you guys do classic Jewish recipes! Missing my grandmas matzo ball Soup rn!!

Hey Sam, long time watcher, first time commenter. At the end of your videos, you all should sit down and try the food together on camera. Do some talking and BS-ing with each other, and toss out ideas and sh(beep). Love the channel.! Keep it up guys.
  • Sams laugh at the end of the video after Max’s joke… made my day! I love you all, ladies and gentleman who make these videos so great.

The accent at the beginning reminded me so much of my great Uncle Hal

It’s a rainy day in San Antonio we’ll be making your grilled cheese and roasted tomato soup today
  • ‘Whatever, it’s fine..’ (tickles the chicken) 😂 Can’t wait to make this! Keep up the videos, guys. Great food and entertainment!

My buddy’s mom (may she Rest In Peace) used to make a great matzo ball soup, but one giant ball in the bowl. Loved it.

“Chicken, we are gonna make our own…..”. Sam can do EVERYTHING! 👍🏻💪🏻

It never would have occurred to me to make this — I’m not a big chicken noodle soup lover. But 1) every recipe of yours that I’ve made so far has been amazing and 2) I loved this whole process or roasting the chicken, preparing the matzo balls, etc. Looks wholesome and rustic and delicious.

i had my first bowl of matzo ball soup last year. im 47. its wonderful and i might give this a shot!
  • It's what my grandmother always referred to as "Jewish Penicillin." Good for what ails ya. Love it!
  • How Awesome! I want some Matzo Ball Soup!! And, a lazier version would be to buy a pre-made Hot-n-Ready Lemon Pepper Roasted Chicken from your Local Market (CostMart or WalCo). Then, do the rest (ie: Soup and Matzo build), starting here 05:00. You Rock!! 🤘

I can't say how much this guy has upped my game as far as technique but it's a lot. I went from a guy who can make edible food to a guy who might be able to be an actual cook if pressed. So many times I couldn't decide what's for supper but here's Sam with a winner idea and it's easily adapted to what I have on hand. Use what you have. He's not a snob about things. He doesn't do shit by the book, he does what works and what tastes good like his Carne Asada which I adore! I'd love to see his spin on a porchetta. Bonus points if he can pull it off with a regular pork loin.
  • I love homemade soup, this looks so great and super easy! Thanks again Sam
  • @mitterben
I would love to see you do a video involving a good hush puppy recipe. I've never mastered the hush puppy! Please help, Sam & boys!

That soup looked really tasty. Good stuff. Regional food idea: my wife is from Pennsylvania Dutch country. This is the right time of year for Turkey Pot Pie, the PD way.
