Whipped Cream Cake With Shamrock Cookie

NOT A TYPICAL FROSTING. Cake that is easy and delicious and not too sweet.
Homemade whipped cream between layers and on top.
You can make this cake from scratch but I'm using a vanilla boxed cake mix and following the directions on the box.
For the whipped cream place mixing bowl, measuring cups, and beaters in freezer for about 10 minutes. This helps with fast and better whipping cream. Combine 1 cup heavy whipping cream, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, and 1/4 cup of powdered sugar. Mix until it becomes thick, checking every few seconds. Don't over mix or it will turn to butter. Or if you prefer you can also buy a tub of whipped topping.
After cakes are completely cooled place one on dish and apply half of the whipped cream. Lay on the next layer of cake and add the remaining whipped topping.
I embellished with a shamrock cookie but of course that's optional. You could also top with berries or not add anything at all.
