If you ever feel stupid, just remember that a group of fully grown adults with full developed brains looked at “Blank Check” and thought it was okay.
  • The tension between the child and that grown ass woman is so disturbing. I- ..... I could have gone my whole life without seeing those scenes

there's such a big thick line between having a kid crush on an adult and the adult playfully playing into it a little so as not to break his heart, and having her clearly return the feelings. they had to put so much effort and planning into crossing that line its crazy

i love how she outright acknowledged that he was 10 years underage and then did not hesitate to kiss him romantically

“Probably Lindsay Lohan’s best acting performance” Uhm EXCUSE have you seen the parent trap?? She does a secret handshake with HERSELF and that’s just the best it’s gonna get. So much so there’s a conspiracy theory she filmed that movie with a twin that then died. And if that ain’t next level I honestly don’t know what is

Probably the most realistic part of “Blank Check” is that the kid spends $1 million in 3 days

As a 10 year old boy watching Blank Check I was all like “yeah Preston, get that older lady.” Now as an adult, I am horrified. Maybe the screenplay was written by a 10 year old boy?
  • I feel like it should be stated that kids/teens having crushes on adults is fine and normal because they don’t know any better (i.e. a student having a crush on a teacher). HOWEVER, if the adult pursues the relationship, then the adult is 100% at fault and deserves to be in jail for the rest of their life.

"kiss him on the cheek or gᵢᵥₑ ₕᵢₘ a ₕᵢgₕ fᵢᵥₑ" I felt that. That kiss is so gross
  • Actress: "So what's my role?" Director: "You date a kid. You even kiss him at the end. Still interested?" Actress: "Yup."

Wait...if Preston was so poor, how the hell did he have a computer in 1995? The cheapest ones were like $2,500 a piece!
  • @cerealissoup84
    1. Why did they write that 2. How were the child or the adult comfortable with that 3. Why did they write that
  • @TheShadowcus
I feel like I had a mini crisis when I realised he wasn’t technically wrong in saying 1994 was three decades ago
  • @thrillho4209
I like how the woman agrees to see the kid again in 6 years, but he looks about 10 meaning he will STILL be underage in 6 years time. Yeah, I don't know how no one decided to pull the plug on this movie before it was released.

That last film could have been so much better if she just had like a babysitter sort of "date" with him before where she just has fun with the kid and isn't worried about trivial adult things, she clearly knows he's interested and all, but she could've just continued to be nice but keep her distance, but they filmed it like there was actually like some sort of romantic or sensual tension there. And that damned kiss makes me feel sick to my stomach. She should've just kissed him on the cheek or something, or talked to him like a teacher or counselor or really an adult with any semblance of responsibility that PLATONICALY cares about him, because that kiss was just so disgusting to see, she literally looks like she's 4 times his ag, the kid's character wasn't even in double digits. Why the hell was that ever approved? Who thought that that was a good idea? And how many Priuses can that actress's therapist buy?
  • when drew said “speaking of three decades ago let’s talk about this movie from 1994” I became acutely aware that time is an illusion and we aren’t in 2012 anymore
  • @drue1237
When the lady was talking to Preston and saying "call me in 7 years" he would still only be around 15...
  • Kids have crushes on adults all the time, but it’s never supposed to actually GO anywhere. Adults are the ones responsible for keeping their weird mitts and mouths off the younger person. Ahhhh hOw was that scene ever approved
