I went to a Japanese restaurant that served a salmon skin salad that was absolutely delicious. They crisped up the skin and put it over a bed of mixed greens, bean sprouts, grated carrots and other veggies then drizzled with a soy-sesame-miso dressing. The crispy skin was kind of like low carb fish croutons. It was wonderful and oh so healthy.

I'm drooling! I don't have a grill or BBQ tho. Can I do everything the same but just bake it in the oven? If so, what are the tips for baking it in the oven?

Great video, thank you. I'll happily cook any kind of beef or pork, but fish still intimidates me!

With the cedar plank make a slurry of brown sugar mixed with either sherry or pineapple juice. Brush it on the salmon then sprinkle steak seasoning on it. Put the lid down and cook till done. Delicious!

Tried this and it was fantastic. The sauce is really good as well. Will use remaining sauce as veggie dip.

Is it better to use avocado oil instead of olive oil because of the smoke point. I thought that olive oil would burn easier at high temperature
