I just ordered the Asian English physical Switch edition like 5 minutes ago. Can't wait to get into this game. I love the extra characters sold as dlc.
  • Lol the different cultures reminds me of g gundam where mexico was basically a giant sombrero
  • The reason why EDF:WB is too easy is because it's supposed to be an EDF game for u to consume while waiting for the real deal that is EDF6
  • I think it's nice to lock the difficulty. So you don't have hundreds of players that are new relying on skilled players to carry them through the whole game. For what I have tried so far solo hard is a hard but fun run but thats me. Over all I think this is a good game for new people to introduce to kids. It won't make the game too hard for them. As it helps slowly introduce a old kind of fun to a kid. Then show them a real nightmare when they jump into the other games.

Loving EDF WB on my Switch. It's the perfect slice of EDF action to carry around on the go. Hopefully Western releases of the EDF 3 and 4 (or was it 2 and 3?) come out soon so I can grab those as well. Also, a bit sad that 6 months ago you made this video saying that EDF 6 was 6 months away then, and I still think it's 6 months away now...
  • Played every EDF game since the Xbox 360 one back in 2007. So like 7 of them since then. Spent over 609 hours getting the platinum for 4.1 and 5. Got the Wing Diver up to 50,000 plus health. Always play co op and my niece has been loving this one. Inferno does app up the difficulty quite a bit. I've died quite a lot. Plus in June the extra hard dlc levels will be coming out and those are tough. The Onichanbara characters and the Dance characters are pretty fun. Having spent God knows how long playing inferno on EDF 2025 I don't always want to play a hard as nails game. This is just the kind of game I want before another main game.

Great review mate. Game looks fun af, but will probably wait for a sale
  • @sami_rye
Subbed. Thanks for the video, your break down convinced me this be fun for my and my 7 year old to play together and that’s great

Since you seemingly reviewed this on PC, do you know if the PC version supports 1440p (2560x1440) resolution? I remember the previous EDF spin-off from the same studio not doing so for some bizarre reason.
  • Nichegamer is one of the few games news websites with honesty and integrity. Respect!
  • I love it had characters from Iron rain, with their mechanics
  • I really wanted to play this as a couch co op game on the switch, but they don't offer 2 player split screen. and the 60$ pricepoint from a game that reeks of something i'd expect to see for like 20$ i'm like no thanks... even if i sunk the 60$ on a whim to chance playing a game i think its unfair to try and inspire a friend or two to do the same .
  • My boys downloaded the game from PS4 store and we can’t play split screen. The 2nd player won’t more. The controller works in menu but as soon as it goes to the multiplayer split screen menu the 2nd player controller doesn’t move. Any suggestions?

I never played any of the EDF games but this one looks adorable.
  • Just looking at the game and haven't played it myself, I'd also recommend the game to people like myself who always looked at EDF from afar but couldn't play it due to a phobia of insects and arachnids. I'm someone who has had to completely stop playing Elden Ring because ants showed up in 2 of my 100 hours of the gameplay and I became horrified of finding ants in the open world. So, with a game like EDF, I can't survive 5 seconds in it. With the blocky aesthetic though I could actually look at the screen when the ants were on display during this video and their blocky appearance made them and the spiders look adorable to me instead of something like an eldritch monster my brain is trying to comprehend that haunts my nightmares for a month afterward. I still don't know if I'll pick it up, but it's nice to know that there's an option on the market for people like myself.
  • The EDF series know better than almost all others how to make fun games.
  • @kabob0077
Wait, so the Earth got shattered like Cadia yet the EDF still fights on and its our job to put it back together? Does this mean I could shout Imperial Guard quotes with minimal changes if I wanted to?
  • looks like a lego ver just found out today of this I know all Lego games is optimized real good which is rare they so optimized that I know even before I install it will run perfect with almost no drop in frames
