Painting a sunset from the biggest road trip of my life and sharing the story that inspired me to painting.

I am an artist residing in Washington state! My paintings are heavily inspired by nature and its beauty. I work primarily in oil paint, and sometimes watercolor. I prefer to work in a mostly realistic style and occasionally experiment outside of that. I post oil painting time lapses, painting lessons and tutorials, drawings, art tips, and occasionally artist vlogs where I share bits of my life as an artist. Creating art is my greatest passion and I'm thankful for the chance to share it with you. ♥

This entire video with the drone clips, voice over and music feels like a movie. I love it! Thank you for sharing your trip with us, Lena.

this is a stunning painting. you really captured the atmosphere of driving on a highway in the mountains in kentucky. gorgeous!
  • It looked so easy until you slowed down the speed at places when I realized how much time and patience it needed to draw this which just got fit in 16 minutes. Kudos to you queen!! You rock!! Sending much love!! ❤️❤️

I have goosebumps. I have been following you for years, and I live and work right in between Goreville, IL and where you captured that sunset. That entire area is so under-appreciated, and I find myself rendering its beauty in my own oil paintings often. To see you find the same beauty after assuming our paths would never cross is truly magical. Thank you

I still remember your Nasa sun painting video. I remember all the little stars you painted individually by hand and how beautiful the painting came out. I just looked it up and I can't believe its been two years and I still remember those little details.

I’ve missed your videos, Lena! This is stunning, and your voice is so soothing. Thank you!!❤️

This is absolutely gorgeous! And I love it even more because I feel this piece, and your story in my bones. I know this road, a journey, stretching sometimes endlessly in front of you, one amazing view after another! My husband and I sold our home in TN, bought an RV, and began our move across the country to Washington state directly before covid hit. It was slow going and a lot of boondocking away from civilization, but we managed to see some amazing things in the wilds, and along those long and winding roads.
  • Very cool! Looks like the velvet paintings people use to sell on the highways in the 70's!
  • @MrBebopChamploo
I remember watching your videos like... 10 years ago? Not long after that I moved half way across the country to Washington state - what a happy coincidence that a video about the impact of a similar journey for you would bring me back to your channel 10 years later.
  • Travel a stunning locations from the biggest road trip of my life and my new story that inspired me to painting. Taken from 'The Amazing Race Season 33.' Stella Florescent followed my best amazing boy-friend Phil Keoghan on The Amazing Race please go tell them and is the real mvp for doing this arrived from this season..

We have done that trip twice! We took a similar route you took the first time and took the Texas California route the second time. I like the way you went the best! I hope you fall in love with WA state as much as I have and never leave!! We have been here 15 or so years this time. No regrets! We live in Puyallup , 43 miles from Mt Rainier. Soo beautiful!! Your painting of your experience brought back soo many memories!
  • I could not think of anything else throughout the entire video....And your voice is not less than music that I'd loop...
  • @Raquel96
The car is so beautifully painted too! It all was! Congratulations on doing something so incredible 🌟

Dear Lena and Erica, I fondly watched your adventure. Vicariously sharing in the adventure. I lived in Tacoma for 5 years and loved it. I was busy with my job and regret not exploring more. I loved the smell of the trees, the fresh salmon, the people- a different world than the east coast and they know it. Hope this finds you well a year later. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I am new to oil painting and soaking up as much as I can. Your mixing of skin tones I found particularly helpful.
