I am an artist residing in sunny, warm [humid] florida! My paintings are heavily inspired by nature and its beauty. I work primarily in oil paint, and sometimes watercolor. I prefer to work in a mostly realistic style and occasionally experiment outside of that. I post oil painting time lapses, painting lessons and tutorials, drawings, art tips, and occasionally artist vlogs where I share bits of my life as an artist. I watched all the way through brilliant I’ve refound my love of painting at over 70 years old and found this very helpful. Thank you. Wish I was younger as struggle with technology you make zooming in the reference photo look so easy. In the middle of this corona virus here in England but not in lockdown so have more time on my hands to paint. I’ve spent the last 48 years of my life volunteering helping others understand the bible and its prophecies now its time to paint. THANK YOU 😊

This is one of the best painting tutorials I've seen on YouTube. Mostly because Lena doesn't insist on her choice of technique and colors is the best. Thus she encourages every Young artist to experiment with their own ideas. Many thanks, Lena.

I'm another old(er) man chiming in to say thanks for your videos. They've been MOST helpful with my launch into oils. Something as seemingly simple as how to clean brushes left me dazed and confused when I found 10 different ways of doing it in 10 different posts. I realize that there are many ways to do things, but I find your message very clear, consistent and credible. I like your gentle and methodical approach to all of your posts. Zucchini…Thank you for your instruction and insights. I am a beginner finally pursuing a hobby that has long sense been on the “back burner “ of my life. I appreciate how you emphasize that these are your preferences and that everyone is different in their methods reaching somewhat the same results. It gives permission to try new things and grows one’s own perspective and creativity.
