I am an artist residing in sunny, warm [humid] florida! My paintings are heavily inspired by nature and its beauty. I work primarily in oil paint, and sometimes watercolor. I prefer to work in a mostly realistic style and occasionally experiment outside of that. I just finished an oil painting and this video is so relatable! Everything you have said about how long it takes, the back and forth, the having to walk away sometimes and come back, figuring it out as you go, and about agonizing about perfecting the final details is completely spot on for me. I go through all the same things and just went through it with my most recent painting. This video is a reminder that it is normal to go through these things while working through a painting, it is all part of the process, and that each piece is different. Beautiful piece and a wonderful video!
