#1 Proven Trumpet Course To Quickly Improve High Notes, Power, and Endurance! trumpetsizzle.com/ Did you know that I created what has now become the NUMBER 1 Embouchure Improvement Course Of All Time? It's true! Why not fact check it? Kurt Thompson's 16 Week Upper Register Course began in 2009 and has now (2021) been taught to well over 1000 students. Almost half of those students took the course live each week with Kurt and the other half did it on their own with the video tutorials! FACT CHECK: When trying to determine what is the BEST anything today, look for reviews, but BE CAREFUL: Written reviews can be faked, right? Still, many times we only have written reviews to go on at places like Amazon. REAL VIDEO REVIEWS BY REAL PEOPLE that got the product or became the student is the TRUE WAY to 100% fact check something. Currently there are tons of video reviews by students from 15 years of age up to 88 years of age that have had tremendous success with Kurt Thompson's Course! CHECK HERE: youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0PQUYopKD-L2Vj0awGJK9N… The other method would be cash sales. NOBODY comes close to matching the record setting sales of the 16 Week Upper Register Course! NADA! If you find someone who tries to make that claim, check out their student video reviews with the student doing some playing...THEY DON'T EXIST! CAREFUL: Be leery of trumpet teachers, courses, programs that have a lot of celebrity trumpet players giving an endorsement! Almost ALWAYS that endorsement is paid or because they are friends with the teacher. Think about it: If Wayne Bergeron gave a thumbs up on some teacher's course, did he actually go through the entire course and test it out? YOU KNOW HE DID NOT! His friend showed him the course. He browsed through it. Said: Hmmm ok, looks good! BE LEERY when you see that. Nothing wrong with friends helping each other out, but for YOU the student, you can easily be misled by putting too much weight on these famous trumpet friends. I am happy to have you try to find a course that competes with the 16 Week Upper Register Course. Don't bother trying to find one that supersedes it. That won't happen. However, if you can find one that has some decent competition, leave a comment. Decent competition does not mean written reviews, celebrity reviews, or even people just talking about it. It means legit music students PLAYING and DEMONSTRATING the success they had while taking the course! You find that? Let us know! INTERESTED? You should be! Did you know you can take a small sample of the course just to get an idea if it is for you? It is only a sample. Don't expect anything from the sample, but to give you an idea of how the course is. CHECK OUT THE SAMPLE: trumpetsizzle.com/products/sample-week-11-new-revi… Speak italiana, español, portugués? The 16 Week Upper Register Course has been fully translated to Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese. Know anyone who would learn better with their native language in the subtitles? trumpetsizzle.com/collections/trumpet-lessons-tran… Fact check, Be Skeptical, but in the end, you will come back to the 16 WEEK UPPER REGISTER COURSE for trumpet and all brass musicians as the NUMBER 1 embouchure improvement course on the planet!

I have been playing for many years & I have never been able to play a shallow piece...I can hit double Cs with a deep cupped piece. Currently, I have about 200 pieces I have collected through the years....never liked any Monette...currently I adore a De Nicola 21 that I modified myself....fantastic!.

Just bought a Schilke 10a4 and it makes my upper register a lot clearer as well as extending my range from high d to double g
  • It's very nice having some body tell it as it is----there is no silver bullet in mothpieces---it takes effort to get that right mouthpiece for you, and only you can put that effort in, not another person saying, this works for me so I know it will work for you. Thank You again . Regards John.

Thanks for your education and transparency on this topic. When I played many many years ago we never were told changing mouth pieces was even an option. You played what came on the horn. How did we ever learn to play?
  • Trying to get into Roger Ingrams V cup, from essentially a 3 rim with 28 hole - from Steve at Horntrader. I think the V is about a 30 hole. still some depth int he cup, but the rim seems very different - taking a while to get used to - maxing out on a high D - had it a week.
  • I have a Charlie Allen famous trumpet mouthpiece for sale . Charlie Allen made lead trumpet mouthpieces for members in Count Basie's and Duke Big bands . Cat Anderson played on one.

Shallow mouthpieces aren't for everyone, it depends on their mouth shape and size. Back in august of 2016 I bought a Yamaha Eric Miyashiro 1 mouthpiece (really shallow) and I couldn't play it for months. But I kept trying and trying and I ended up adapting to the mouthpiece, so today my Eric miyashiro mouthpiece is probably my favorite mouthpiece, adding about 4-5 notes to my range.

Actually played on a 17S Giardinelli trumpet mouthpiece for many years until it was stolen at a gig, been searching for a replacement for over 4 years with no luck....
  • I’ve played on a shilke 14a4a and it worked for me for a while but then I switched to a jet tone bc and it’s doing the work my range has increased but I really wanna ditch it. Regular mouthpieces such as a standard 7c feel very uncomfortable. What is recommended that I try or should do?
  • @gregorysloat4258
I play on big equipment (custom Bach and Flip Oakes Wild Thing) and shallow mouthpieces. With a very shallow mouthpiece, you have to work on keeping your lips from bottoming out in the cup, which takes some practice. Another trumpet player I know brought a MF Jet-Tone to rehearsal in our community band many years ago. I was the only trumpet player who could make it work, but that was because I had seen one many years before that. I was able to belt out a solid, sizzling Double High C that was louder than I could play on my own mouthpiece (at the time a Giardinelli 3S drilled out to a 22 throat), but I couldn’t get around on it on my horn like I could on my own mouthpiece. I also played a Schilke 15A4 for awhile, but I didn’t like how fat the rim was. When Giardinelli went out of business, and I had unfortunately lost mine, I went to the Kanstul web site and used their mouthpiece comparator to find that a Bach 1D was very close to my Giardinelli. However, it was OK, but not great. Then, by chance, I tried a Bach 1E, and that was IT. I had come full circle from my college days when I gave up my drilled out (18 throat) Bach 1 1/4C to switch to my original Giardinelli 3M, 3B, and 3VS. The 1D I had drilled out to a 22 throat, but I decided to try the 1E without altering it, and it plays so well for me, I’ve just left it alone. I didn’t make the mistake I did with only having one Giardinelli, either. I bought FOUR Bach 1E copies, and if anything ever happens to one, I’ll buy another to replace it, so I never have to worry about not having it. I could have saved 30 years of searching if I had just stayed with Bach and gone to the shallower cup that I now play. 🤣
