Being someone who works for Halfords I find it funny watching you in a tent that I wouldn’t recommend, unless you are using it in summer when it’s dry, Halfords does sell some pretty good tents through the website but not in store. I do also have a Halfords tent that we have used an awful lot and it’s about 15 years old and still good, but it is a 4 man tent and better built. We do actually sell some good camping stuff but we do sell some pretty cheap stuff too. The headlight you used though is more designed for running so that you are visible hence the red light on the back. It is nice to see other people’s review for things that I personally don’t rate and their conclusions are pretty similar. Thanks Andy for the great videos.

I must admit that I now do all of my camping in my chair watching your channel (which I thoroughly enjoy). Yesterday my son-in-law and I toasted you with a Neck Oil that he brought back to the US (daughter and son-in-law musicians that play at a number of jazz festivals in the UK). Thanks for providing enjoyable and informative content.

Camping for two nights in Glen Coe tomorrow after a long drive up from Hereford with friends. The issue is, I have recently moved house and my usual tent is buried deep in a storage unit and this was a last minute road trip planned 2 days ago. In the shed I have this exact Halfords Dome XL which we used as a storage tent last summer. Wish me luck 😂

Had a halfords 2 person tent now for 15ish years. It's great. No faults no problems . Perfect for campsites😊
  • @Hythyr
I understood the Dire Straits comment!! LOL! This video shows that even cheaper equipment can still make for a fun trip. Thanks Andy!

I bought a Halfords tent when I was living in Horsham , sussex . We drove down to Buckfasliegh in Devon . got the tent out of it's bag and started to try putting it up only to find there were no loops for the poles to go through, they had not been sown on . Luckily there is a camping shop a couple of miles away in a place called Ashburton so we went and bought another one . Lesson learnt , if you buy a new tent do a test run at home

I got add this second comment ..it’s reminds me camping in Brighton camp site ,it was on a slight hill..we pitched a tent bk in the 70s..it was pouring so hard and could feel the rain running under the tent down the hill, while next door tent,a bloke was blowing up a air bed by mouth n his mate strumming a guitar at 12 ock at night ..what a combination of sounds lol..I miss camping love smell of egg n bacon cooking on camp stove,n a mug tea..they were the days 🇬🇧

I absolutely love your content. Thank you so much for the artful camera shots too. And the recipes too. It's 115° today so I'll live vicariously through you.

You are a trooper with all the rain camping, I am originally from New Jersey and camped in old canvas tents in the rain, always rained there too, you cooking is fabulous and my dear friend no longer with us is from Kent, I learned so much from her from cooking and making scones and the best cup of tea.

You are a gent Andy, and a massive thank you for the donation. Those tents are always a gamble

The algorithm blessed my with your channel when you built the log cabin. I've finally completely caught up with every video and you are my favourite camping YouTuber. Such calm, quiet, and thoroughly entertaining videos. Many thanks 👍
