#WakandaForever #Spoilers #EndingExplained

This ending set up a black panther 3 that is going to be wakanda Versus the rest of the world, that may kick off as soon as phase 5 with the thunderbolts. We’re going to tell you how that’s going to happen, explain who is ruling wakanda now, and what the MCUY as planned for T’Challa’s son, T’Challa jr.

But first let's with that amazing credit scene, we have to explain everything about T'Challa’s son, and what this might mean for the future.

At the end of the movie, Shuri travels to Nakia’s home in Haiti, she’s finally able to burn her funeral clothes. A ceremony that allows her to say goodbye to her brother, signaling that she’s ready to move on from her grief and feelings of guilt.

This emotional scene closes the movie, but it then leads to Wakanda Forever’s credit scene. After Shuri performs the ceremony, she’s approached by Nakia–and her’s and T'Challa’s son–who is also named Prince T’Challa.

This reveal is such an emotionally gratifying conclusion for a very powerful human story.

This is both a heartbreaking goodbye to Chadwick Boseman and T'Challa. But at the same time it’s a heartwarming conclusion for Shuri’s arc in Wakanda Forever. For her to meet her nephew after all the things she has been through in the movie feels so gratifying. It’s really the perfect way to end this powerful story.

Just when she thought she had no family left, Nakia appears with T'Challa’s son.
Nakia raised prince T'Challa in Haiti, far away from Wakanda. She kept his existence a secret from everyone, except queen Ramonda.

Judging by the child’s age, he was likely born shortly before or after the snap, around 2018. That means he’s about 5 or 6 years old.

Real quick before we explain why the kid was kept a secret, we got to mention T'Challa’s son in the comics. His name is Azari.

But Azari’s mother isn’t Nakia, it’s Ororo Munroe aka Storm from the X-Men. She and T'Challa had a really complicated relationship in the comics.

Azari doesn’t exist in Earth-616 thigh, that’s the main Marvel universe continuity, like in the MCU.

He comes from an alternate post-apocalyptic world, where he’s part of the Next Avengers, a team of the children of the Avengers. Ultron destroys the world, they fight him–it’s a great read.

Clearly the MCU is going in a different direction.

T'Challa and Nakia agreed that it would be better to raise their son in Haiti, away from the pressure of the throne. At least until he’s ready to assume the responsibilities of king and protector of Wakanda. T'Challa was raised in Wakanda all of his life, the heir to the throne since birth, that shaped his life.

Nakia says that it was T'Challa’s choice for her not to come to his funeral, that it wasn’t time yet to reveal young T'Challa.

This must be because T'Challa wanted his son to get a different chance at life, to forge his own path, and once he assumes the throne, he can be a better king than any who came before him. Because he will grow outside of Wakanda, and be able to understand the world better, and one day be the bridge between their people.

Remember, young T'Challa was born shortly after his father fought Killomonger, and this must have shaped his decision. T'Challa realized that Wakanda can no longer stay closed off to the rest of the world, he saw his father’s mistakes.

Also, Wakanda was in a state of chaos during that time. The nation was just recovering from Killmonger’s mini civil war, and shortly after Thanos happened.

Both T'Challa and Shuri were gone, along with half of life in the universe. Losing both the king and the princess at such a difficult time meant that Wakanda.

If Nakia would have revealed T'Challa’s son to Wakanda after the snap,
it might have given the nation the hope they so desperately needed at the time.

But this would also immediately put him right at the center of everything, with the people of Wakanda seeing him as their future king.

  • I absolutely loved M'Baku's journey in this movie. To see him still walking with that swagger, but also capable of compassion, restraint, and wisdom, made me really happy.

Ramonda was trying to tell Shuri that T’Challa has a son but was interrupted by Namor during the camp fire scene

Black Panther's Son Raised in Haiti, The First Black Republic, is very Symbolic . Ryan Coogler is definitely a Master of his Craft!
  • Naming the prince Tchalla is a brilliant move on behalf of the MCU , continuing A legacy without diminishing the roots.
  • @aferraro92
The people of the surface world didn't kill Namor's mom. She died of old age, but died heartbroken that her people were driven from the land and the home that they loved. His hatred for surface dwellers stems from seeing that and witnessing the horrible things they did to his peoples' homeland when he returned to bury her.

I absolutely loved how the honored the legacy of Chadwick. I also really love how they naturally gave Namor his name and recontextualized its meaning
  • @s4xtt
Tchalla's son is what Killmonger could have been, growing up aware of his Wakandan heritage and with love from his mum and aunt. It will be interesting if he will possess natural super soldier strength as the heart shaped herb should still be in Tchalla's blood upon his conception
  • @malestorm234
I’d say the reason they don’t have Storm as the child’s mother is that they are working towards that great love story. So this new Tachala will meet a young Storm, maybe while in Haiti.

The kid reminds me of Chadwick. So perfectly casted. What a beautiful film.

Just left the theater and I loved it! It was a beautiful epic of a film. I cried far too often. The T’Challa stuff hit so much harder with the unfortunate reality of it. Angela Bassett’s performance was insanely good. She had such a presence and completely dominated every scene she was in. Also really liked Namor’s portrayal and looking forward to him popping up in future things. Main question I was left with was Riri’s origin but I guess they’re saving that for her series.

I'd like to see Coogler tackle more MCU projects. He's knocked it out the park twice now
  • @sadige92
This movie in my opinion has the best story telling thus far in the MCU. It also is the first movie to portray a strong female role without it feeling like it's forced
  • @bkpa4455
I liked the movie for what it was. Saying goodbye to a truly great man that brought a beloved character to life. Rip Chadwick
  • @Chad0023
So Tchalla the 2nd could just be the same as comic book version raised ans schooled outside Wakanda, Imagine actually seeing him and Storm stories in the future when he grows up of course
  • 13:35 Namor's mother was not killed by the surface world, she just died of old age and made Namor promise her to bury her on the land that she called once home. Namor just saw how the invaders treated the locals and went ape shit on them.
  • @thorinwoods2642
Hopefully Ryan Coogler is a producer on The Thunderbolts if they are going up against Wakanda.
  • @thorinwoods2642
I see this as a three act structure starting with Captain America: New World Order leading to The Thunderbolts and ending with Armor Wars. Daredevil: Born Again will probably play a major role as they could have Yelena, Bucky, or Taskmaster showing up in that with The DoDC. That will end with Spider-Man 4.
  • @SoelPockychan
Just watched this movie as a mexican with a mayan great grandma it hits so different than other movies, specially the fight scenes, because they are amazing but they are not kicking the ass of random background actors. I can relate to both sides and my heart broke seeing it 🥲💔. Because I love the characters of Wakanda but I didn't want them to win or lose.
  • @rileyolson6008
There was so many parallels to the first movie. Such a great film
