I took the Minelab Manticore on its first real hunt to test the waters. I took it to a really junky permission to start learning the numbers but to see what this 2D display would tell me. Holy Moly! it can tell you a lot. So far only 3 days in and I'm liking what I'm seeing.

One that I want to point out that someone mentioned was that in this video I was only running my sensitivity at 16 which is really low. I was using 16 because I turned it down in my garage for totally forgot I changed it. I should have been running it at 23 or higher.
  • My buddy and I both own the nox 600. He just purchased the Manticore and within an hour he pulled out 2 silvers and 5 older Pennies in a place we both hunted last year. It goes deep.
  • Thanks for getting out and showing us a real hunt with that thing. I can't wait to see some more! Cool feature with head phones too.
  • @bells1054
Thanks Scott. Looking forward to more of your hunts with it. Can't wait to get ours.
  • That was a great video as always ,I was smiling too when you pulled that penny under the nail, very impressive it showed both on the screen ,keep up the great videos! thanks.
  • Thanks, great video. I got mine out for a couple hrs Sunday on a really polluted site. I'm looking forward to figuring out all that this thing is telling us . Very impressed so far.

Glad to hear about the headphones shutting off automatically, no dead battery if left on accidentally. I also noticed the pinpointing works well using the pull back method, that's the way I do it too. I'd say the machine did an excellent job considering you have hunted the spot many times with other high dollar machines, can't wait to get mine.
  • Great video. I like the hunting videos. Testing videos are OK to show tendencies, but nothing will replace getting out and using it. As a past CTX user, I agree on the 2d screen. Looks awesome.
  • @HighTones
wow your the first to really show this things capabilities.. Great video. Thanks!
  • Nice first hunt look at it. Look forward to more hunts. Thanks
  • @adam69ify

  • @MetalDiggr
Love this! My brain is calculating the CTX to Manticore vdi readings. So ready for a new machine
  • Dang now i really want mine scott! Lol…sweet to find targets 2 on the screen! Wooohoooo!

Just purchased Manticore from Fort Bedford over the weekend. Will have in a few days. Please keep the videos coming for all the settings, I use on beach only and in salt water. Thanks again !! Looks like the CTX3030 might have to take a back seat along with the 600. I did not use the 600 very often and the 3030 was my go-to-machine. .
  • Looks a cool machine and if money were no object I'd get it to go with my D2. Good video
