Best video on the 900 I've seen. Just bought one and did my 1st hunt and found a lot of cool stuff at the river. I tend to overthink things so this was a good reassurance.

Thanks mate! I just picked up a lightly used 900 on eBay for $788 and I'm coming from an Xterra Pro so it should be a lie of cake! I'll be post some vids soon on my channel after the unboxing... This thing on has 20 minutes of usage on it... Not kidding! Love the fact that the coils 13/6" are interchangeable with the Xterra Pro as well as the ML85 headset! I've already paid for the Xterra on my finds... this one will take a bit longer😅 P.S. Like on the Xterra Pro... more sensitivity is not always best! In a trashy area it will only mask the good targets! I usually run around 15 to 17 on the sensitivity and find twice as many coins compared to maxing it out.😎

I went from the Garrett 300i to the Equinox 900. A big jump but I am loving my ‘nox’. I’m running in the ‘out of the box’ mode and gradually learning how it works. Had some great finds too. As you say, ‘don’t over think it’.

What are the single frequencies for?

Hi Bud, I have the Nox 800, will these settings you use on the 900 work the same... Factory reset, 2 tones/5 , field 2... as I'm having the same problem...useing 50 tones atm moment, must be too much info for me to work out... great vid mate 👍

I am looking to buy my first detector and was thinking of the EQUINOX 900, it looks a good bit of kit, I was thinking this would give me a number of years to gain experience, I have a good experienced friend who would help get to grips with it. Sound a good idea?

they're only going to learn it by digging it aren't they Kris 👍too many people get a machine like that or the 800 and fiddle with settings they've seen on youtube with great finds and then they don't know what to do. swing it, dig it, learn it and soon you will be in charge of the power stick 👍

Looking forward to a tip on how to eliminate false signals on deep iron. Took me 3 years to finally use the 7 method with the 800. Big advantage. So i use the horsehoe method, 10x5 coiltek coil. settings are sensitivity 20, recovery 7, iron bias 7 park 2. Will try field 2 next time out, and ground balance over iron. have nt tried auto ground balance yet. Lots of things to like with the 900. Just gonna have to get my 100 hours in to get in sync w the machine.
