Man City’s First-Ever PL-Winning XI: Where Are They Now?

These days, it might look like Manchester City win the Premier League every time, but it actually took them a while to get their first title. They finally did in the most dramatic fashion in the 2011-12 season after Sergio Aguero’s iconic last minute goal, and we now want to go back and look at that historic team. This is Man City’s first-ever Premier League winning XI and where they are now.

As always, we start from the back. It was Joe Hart who was manning the goal back then. He is a true Man City legend, but Pep Guardiola wasn’t the biggest fan, so the Spaniard’s arrival signaled the beginning of the end for the Englishman.

Agüero was great but not the GOAT of City. Imagine Agüero as a charger and Silva as the outlet. As a creative outlet and brilliant creator he also carried the transition to attack, controlled the pace of the game, picked out passes, and retained possession which he did seamlessly. Ask any player who played with or against they will say he ran the pitch. Also despite the goal he was more an icon.
