A triple threat G-Machine! The Engine Power team takes an almost pristine '73 Split-Bumper Chevy Camaro and turns it into a triple threat car. It has to be competitive on the road course, the autocross, and the drag strip. To do all that it has to make big power, have an aggressive look, and handle like it's on rails. This is one car that will do it all.

Just can’t find original cars anymore like this 73. Such a clean original survivor, no more. I’m not necessarily a purist, but they could have found a different car for this build.
  • I love all of these "Full Build" videos. I like this better than the various "installment" episodes!!!👌
  • There is nothing wrong with a QuadraJet. People who complain about it don't know how to tune it.
  • @benrambow144
I get starting with a clean car, but that thing was museum grade. Now it’s going to do the same thing but without the ability to say “look kid, that’s how it used to be”. I seriously doubt that it ever goes to get anything more than ice cream, let alone a time slip
  • @anthonyk1234
Beautiful car, I’d leave it as it is. But nice build overall
  • @paulevans2153
I was all into this build till I heard rear seat delete. So much for keeping it stock looking
  • A little concern for the guy not wearing a respirator while spraying the powder coating 😲
  • @JohnnieBravo1
This project is special to me. I've been building and autocrossing these 70-73 Camaro's for nearly 50 years now, starting right out of college (where I bought my 1st 71 in 1974). I have never heard of Street Rod Garage in Grant Alabama, although I live almost rock throwing distance from that town (Huntsville Alabama). I'll have to drive over there one day and check those guys out! Thank you for highlighting and promoting them.
  • @Mistabushi
@38:00 not gonna lie, is the guy still alive? Holy shit dude, at least put a bandana and don’t breathe that plastic dust.
  • A two plus hour video and you chump out with video of finished product awesome.
  • @nojunkwork5735
Butchering up a factory air, Type LT Camaro in this condition only proves you guys should be working on old Hondas.
  • @troytheriot8679
This is why I love yall show you get too see entire build in detail. If an average person didn't know something they would by the end of the build
  • @javig5045
A full build is the only way to see these, and I also love that you give us all the info on your supply lines and service people you use for specialty job of build, so if and when I ever do a build, I have premium results with premium parts & services of the trade, excellent , com'on lottery win! Javi G.
  • @jeffmofo5013
I don't know why someone would mod a clean original classic. buy a junker or modded classic then do all your mods to it. Let someone that wants the classic all original have it.
  • @SifsSwag
Honestly…..you shouldn’t have ‘ruined’ that nice Camaro. You could have just built from ground up. Anyway…great program.
  • @TJ1855
I really miss seeing Mike gally on your shows. I think he was around from day one. Anybody happen to know where he went? My guess is he probably started his own shop somewhere in the Nashville area
  • @feminazislayer
The best part of this video is the fact they teach kids to fabricate and give them skills to go forward with in life.
  • Normally I love these builds.... but....... You took a perfect numbers matching vintage car and did damage to it. I would have rather seen you guys do this to another car that was a mess.
