How to check you bobbin case tension using this technique of the weight of 5 quarters which are equivelent to 1 oz if you don't have quarters like in other countries. NOTE: I get all my embroidery supplies from Lisa of www.MrVacAndMrsSew.com. 800-640-8227 at their store and warehouse near my home. If you call ask for Lisa, mention vince of youtube and ask what is the best deal you can receive. They are knowledgeable about the business and are good family people.

Thank you! I was stuck for weeks and this helped me out!
  • I’ve been looking for this part with the quarters for 6 months! 😢. I’ve been having tension problems with my pe1900 and I can’t figure it out. I’ll try to do this tomorrow it’s almost midnight for me. So glad I found this! I have the pe770 also. Ty so much! I hope this works! I’ve been so depressed about it.

My daughter just purchased a gently used pe770. We have been enjoying watching your videos and they have helped to fix some issues. Shes having a problem, though, where her machine wont catch the bobbin thread or will only stitch once. The upper thread will just go through the fabric and pull right back out. She started having this issue after her needle came loose and broke. We replaced the needle, changed the bobbin tension, clean out dust or thread, and checked and rechecked the upper thread tension. Now, we cant figure it out.
  • My machine is giving me very heavy nesting and breaking needles. The white in the back is all wavy not straight at best.

You said clockwise but can we turn it counter clockwise if it’s too tight"?
