This is a killer dessert. I made this and took "some" to my son and daughter-in-law (and kids) and the LOOK on their faces said it all...well almost all cause it was GONE by the time I left to come home. I will bring them the whole thing next time I go to visit....Thank you!

It's a gotta make cake. You're right it's made with ingredients we already have. It's going to be tomorrow's dessert. Love these old recipes. Thank You for showing us some back to basic baking. ❤
  • My Grandmother and Aunt both had one of those old metal measuring cups, I now have my Aunt's. I have a wall display of all of their antique kitchen utensils. I love it.
  • Talli Fay, this seems like a wonderful recipe. It looks like it's ooey, gooey, and delicious. I do wish that you would put your recipe in your description box. It really makes finding a recipe much easier for your viewers. I can't wait to try this recipe, and I will make it for my family. This is such a moist and wonderful looking cake. Thank you for sharing.

I swear I can smell that cake from here. I shared this to my sister in-law because she makes baked goods for the flea market. I know that would be a good seller.
