  • I chose this class for my first playthrough because of the drip and the lore
  • @necrogenesis1981
When I first started I went with the bandit like I did in Dark Souls, I didn’t realize until later that the confessors are the ones with the stealth abilities.

As cool as the drip was I never chose the confessor as a starting class. In the end, it came down to the wretch. No better drip than all natural.

I'm surprised you didn't talk about the symbol that's both on their cape and the crossbow.
  • @OneStarRating
Also I think Marika, Sellen, and Melina are Three bodies and three souls interconnected similar to Morrigan in Celtic Mythology. The Death Bird Foot is what connects them.

I like the theory about Rileigh The Idle being Crepus. Crepus is Surname that in Latin means Twlight or Dusk or Darkness. Rileigh being a Confessor and using the Black-Key Crossbow hints at his name being Rileigh Crepus or possible known by his fellow confessors as “Brother Crepus” or “Father Crepus” or something like that.

Elden Ring is my first souls game ever and I had never seen or heard about dark souls in my life ever. When I first got it, my friends told me to pick the samurai as it is considered the best starting class. But being the stubborn guy, I picked the confessor. Lowk i dont regret picking it. best class ever.

The use of rot is very interesting, especially since it is connected to another outer god and associated with heresy. I wonder if this has to do with the confessors heretical origins. Perhaps the first confessor strayed from grace and acquired rot weaponry, and when they confessed and were made into an assassin, they continued to use the power they had acquired.

Huh, I never really took in the word 'OUTSIDE' when reading the item description for the Confessor Armor. Let's look at those implications real quick: 1. That means there Two Fingers outside the Lands Between. That would imply that the Greater Will is also outside the Lands Between, in other lands of this realm. 2. That the heretics lose sight of their grace in their homeland, and then are sent/exiled to the Lands Between to serve the main branch of the church?? This would mean there might be a fresh supply of Confessors, and that Rileigh was merely the latest of those to come over. Though, him having such a lore-crazy dagger is still crazy to me. That means he must have gone down through the tunnels, too. Great video, as usual!

Exellent.. it's hard to believe this channel is under 50k subs. Should be more like 500k+ subs, this caliber of content deserves it, because this is some of the best (objectionally) Elden Ring content on Youtube.
  • @Lttsumm
if you're planning to go over ALL the starting classes, that would be totally awesome
  • @adamblue2980
Great video as always! I never picked up on the confessors and rot link. Happy holidays!
  • @doomduck9073
There is two items not mentioned in this video, the beastlure pot, and the alluring pot. They are made with assassins incantations, and have a symbol of the order on the pot. As to why they needed to lure beasts close or away, I am unsure

A Draconian Confessor was my Choice. I love Elden Ring Lore, the Theories someone can come up with by only listening to 1 Video is Crazy. When I read about Darkness and Crepus Veil it reminds me of Radagon and his Dark Shadowy missing Limbs. And after you beat him he is ingulfed in Darkness. Am I the Only one who sees a Connection ?
  • @SirAshford
Chose them as my starting class. Church assassin!

Your lore videos are top quality and you have a great voice for narrating
