Man, I thought that Rufus Shinra of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth was a really tough boss. The dude had a counter for everything and the only opening he had was during his “reload” animation which was a really small window.
  • I remember my Yiazmat run on the original version of XII for PS2. It took 8 hours, max level, Vaan with Zodiac Spear, Basch with the Scorpiontail and Zodiac Escutcheon, Fran with Sagittarius and Artemis Arrows, Balthier with the Fomalhaut and Dark Shot, Ashe with the Masamune and Penelo with the Yagyu Darkblade as Yiaz is weak to Dark. I usually had her maining Greatswords and wanted to give her the Wyrmhero Blade. Everyone used Bubble Belts to increase their health, spammed Expose to lower his defence early on, equipped the strongest armours I could purchase, but kept 3 Windbreakers on hand for when he started charging his bloody cyclone attack. I did run out once to recover after nearly getting wiped when he started inflicting Death with his combo attacks, and started using Decoy+Reverse to carry once he limited damage to 6999. I kept a Dispelling eye out for him using Regen and was wary to use Curaga over Full-Cure in case he tried to Reflect it onto himself. I don't know how I'll go with the Zodiac Job version, as I want to do a challenge playthrough trying to mimic each character's playstyles and job skills from Revenant Wings, so Vaan will be using swords, Penelo staves as a White Mage, Basch axes and shields, Fran and Balthier as Archer and Gunner, and Ashe tossing bombs as a Time Mage.
  • Really, Ultima? I'd say that Leviathan from the latest FFXVI DLC is 10 times harder than Ultima. Even Omega from the 1st DLC. Also, VI has way harder optional superbosses than Kefka. Other than that, great choices! Kinda hoped you'd include Weiss from FFVII Remake Intergrade. That superboss requires you to learn to play the game and dodge/parry!
  • The Dark Aeons on their own are a lot harder than Seymour Flux. Especially Dark Bahamut
  • @Neonlight5
Really odd to put Yiazmat for xii when you have the five judges fight on the 100 floor of trial mode . Which imo is the actual hardest fight of any final fantasy.
  • @RPsj
Actually the timed quests still exist, there is one for each day of the year, and there is even one that puts the player against dread behemoth and the elder treant, which is said to be one of the most difficult fights in the game.
  • You must not have fought Leviathan in FF16. An infant caused me the most Gameovers than all the bosses I've faced in FF16.
  • How is Long Gui, Cid Raines, or Vercingetorix from FF13 not on this list? FF13 alone made ppl do more game overs than the average FF game. Where's Warmech in FF1? Cloud of Darkness & Neo Exdeath wipe Kefka in these rankings, too, and don't get me started on FF4DS. 😂
  • Shout out to Final Fantasy XIV's Raubahn Extreme. If you were there then you know how hard of a wall he was to bypass for progression in the game
  • @HomuHomu310
Honestly, Seymour Flux isn't too bad if you just level up properly and got Protect/Protectga or Shell/Shellga
  • @Andy2090
There's been a few already mention the dark aeons in 10, but what about Penance after those? The life regens are ridiculous with his arms.
  • @jaeusa160
Finally an acknowledgement of a 14 Ultimate on this list.
  • @mikespike2099
Seymour Flux … I remember smashing that boss because I had grinded in the cave where Yojimbo summon is on the plains in FFX!
  • @claytonrios1
Ultima really was an excellent boss as well as a hard one. Plus you can use his power in the DLC so that's pretty fun.
  • @Snook1985
I say this again, I can't think of one person who thought Ultima FFXVI was hard. I dont think he's ever touched me. That one optional dragon whose name escapes me was the onky thing in the game I'd consider hard.
  • @jamonangapa9053
Have you played FF16's The Rising Tide yet? An infant is more batshit crazy than the literal main antagonist...
  • You guys have done this List 10000 times and its the same bosses just in different orders
  • @Att.jackson89
FFX you can just make a custom weapon for titus called the razzamatazz i think.. Its silent, dark and poison strike all combined this alone makes 70% of the bosses a breeze.
