I've been unemployed since last year and after applying for 20+ positions I finally got an interview invitation. On the importance of asking questions. I had an initial interview with a company I am excited about and after 5 minutes they asked me if I had any questions even though it was scheduled for 30 minutes. Fortunate that I had prepared ~20 questions before the interview. It went very well, and I am doing my second round 2.5 hr panel interview tomorrow. I know if I had said "no I don't have any questions" the likelihood I would be called back is pretty low even though I am a good fit for this position I think. Thanks for stressing the importance of questions! I am particularly grateful for the question "What is the structure of the team like?", the answer to this actually made me understand what the job is.
