Remember: they wouldn't be interviewing you if they didn't think YOU were a great fit already. They are looking for reasons to HIRE you! So all you have to do is give them some. You got this! I'm proud of you & believe in you! πŸ’“

Watching this the day before an interview that, if I get the job, will literally take me across the world to a new country which is what I have wanted for ten years. Crossing my fingers that these tips end up helping. edit two months after the interview: I got my dream job! Finally heading across the world <3

Coming back after three rounds of interviews to say THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I just landed my first β€œbig girl” job out of college! You helped me feel so confident and prepared going into each round! Y’all LISTEN TO HER she knows her stuff and she really does mean it when she says you’ve got this ❀

"They are not looking for reasons to reject you, they are looking for reasons to hire you." - wow I need to hear that. πŸ˜‚ thank you so much for the help!

I just nailed an interview and got a job offer thanks to Erin. I followed all of her advice and did everything she suggests in this clip. During orientation my supervisor who was showing me the job was also one of the interviewers so I asked him why I was hired. I told him I was part of an online support group and would share his answer if he did not mind. He said it was fine. They interviewed around 12 people and hired 1. He said and I quote him here. β€œYou interviewed well.” I was not expecting that. I thought it would be my experience (28 years) Or my professionalism. Nope. It was my interview skills. Thank you Erin.

I recently interviewed for my first job in my field coming out of grad school (debt-free!), and to prepare, I watched every video of Erin's I could find on resume-writing, job applications, interviewing, and salary negotiation. Long story short, I landed the job!!! Not only that, but using Erin's advice, I was able to negotiate them up by $5k/year during the interview process, even though I was already at the top end of their budget. These videos were a huge help in learning how to navigate the process, and they relieved so much of my anxiety. She really knows her stuff. Thank you, Erin!!!

I watched this video before I interviewed in a round 1 and round 2 for a new job in late December and then a round 3 in early January. AND I WAS HIRED!!! Not only that, I got a 58% raise, got to move to a new city for work and got my own place for the first time ever!! Your videos helped me feel prepared and raised my confidence. Thank you so much Erin!!!! 😊

Having good questions is vital - you should always have at least 6 questions ready that are well thought up and not cookie-cutter. My formula is: - 2 questions that pick out specific requirements from the job description (shows you've throughly read the JD and are probably more familiar with it that the hiring manager) - 2 more general questions about the role & team - 2 more general questions about the company and culture

Great video! For blind spots : if you don't have anyone available to do these mock interviews with, you can always try to film yourself while you ask/answer the questions or you can do like sims and practice in the mirror
  • @rilakkuma217
Interview today! The timing on this is amazing! I am so excited and feel really prepared! Something else that I think helped me get here was asking my manager to send a note of recommendation to the recruiter after my initial interview. Sending good vibes to everyone else I hope you all land where you want to with your interview!

I've been enjoying your shorts for a while and this is the first long form video that I watched. So many people who make content in this category sound like they are reading a script or basically giving a PPT presentation. It can get annoying and feel disingenuous. This felt like chatting with a friend who knows their stuff, or someone who works at the company that is giving you the inside scoop, and that takes a lot of talent to pull off. Great job!
  • I just got a new jobπŸŽ‰ and I must say: thank you Erin!!!! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ I watched some of your videos and it all went well.
  • @lizztovar1631

As Someone who is gonna have an interview next week (and hopefully leave my current Job for a Better Job!) This is so helpful!
  • @palesamagonare
I had my first interview today and it was amazing! The interviewer liked me, and I liked the interviewer and the company. I have a paid trial edit (I am a video editor) and they are already drafting up the contract. It is just wowing them with the edit, then I'm guaranteed to have a job at 19!!! Thank you for this video, it gave me less anxiety about everything.
  • Erin, I just got an amazing job and I felt like I had to come back to your channel and thank you because I obsessively watched your previous interview and salary negotiation videos and have never felt more confident in my interviews. So THANK YOU! She knows what she’s talking about y’all!!
  • @carolinearmijo9
I have an interview today and was just coming to your channel to prep! This is perfect thank you ❀
  • @christiney.2615
Thank you Erin! You're videos encouraged me to create a cover letter and to be more confident in skills I already had during my interview! I interviewed for a part-time position at 10am and today at 4pm, I received a job for a full time position with similar role requirements. 3 phone calls were made back to me; as they were honestly looking for a better position to fit me because of my current Pregnancy! God is really good! Put your faith in Him and do your part like following Erin's videos and things will turn around! ❀
