Hey party people! Thanks so much for hanging out with me while I share this new summertime setup for maximum fun this summer at Camp Mom! I like to put in the effort to put some things together for my kids for summertime so they have as much fun as possible while I am as hands off as possible! haha That's what summer is all about - free range parenting! I put together some art bins, a bucket list, concession stand (lol) stocked their drawers full of fun / healthier snacks and the fridge is full of water and... water juice, and seltzer water.. haha hydrate people! So far it has been a hit and a half! I also threw together a fun summer board! AND the summer bucket list! Can't forget that! That thing is the backbone of summertime fun! AND I shared a little amazon haul of fun summer stuff I got that would be amazing for the beach and outside play this summer 2023! I hope this gave you some fun ideas to recreate for summertime!

Kim!

  • On this wonderful Saturday morning, I pray that God’s grace and mercy be with us all. Let us be grateful for the blessings we have and share them with those in need. Have a blessed Saturday!

Your kids are so lucky to have the woman across the room as a mom. ❤️

Love that you do this for the kids. Gives me so many ideas for a "littles" craft station at my home for when they visit. I've been labeled the "Crafty Grandma," and I love the title. I agree that it is not our job to always entertain the kids, but it is our job to give them the tools to do it themselves and encourage creativity!

PS Your concession stand is such fun. Ill bet your house is a favorite destination for all the kids. 🎉🎉❤

Love chocolate rice cakes. Pop corners, you keep your children happy and busy
  • You might not completely have your life together, but you do for your kids! You're a great mom!❤

My mom had a summer plan... (I'm a 70"s kid) breakfast at 7am tv "cartoons" outside by 9am (don't come in till lunch) at high noon... back outside till dinner 🍽 at 5pm... back outside till 8pm, then shower maybe some TV then bed... kool-aid and oreo's or Doritos, 😊😊😊 for snacks... lol that was my summers... lol 😆 the good old days... 🎉🎉🎉
  • Hi Kim, I am a long time watcher, but I have never commented. As a passionate pre-k teacher, I would like to offer you a little feedback about Meredith's name practice sheet. Young children, 3 and 4 year olds, should learn to write upper case letters first because they are all the same size, they all have a simple formation using only curves and lines, and they all start at the top. Upper case letters are developmentally appropriate for the littles. Lower case letter formation is a lot more complex. We use the "Get Set for School" handwriting curriculum by Learning Without Tears with our pre- k students (4 and 5 year olds) and the handwriting book only contains upper case letters for the children to trace. With that being said, you might want to consider printing her a page that uses all upper case letters.😊 Have a fun summer!

Whose ready to sign up for summer camp at mom Kim's house?? Love it!! 🎉❤🎉❤
  • You do a great job making sure your kids have a fun summer. I did this with my six grandchildren and they still remember the fun we had. You could always add Nature Day to your list. That was just go outside and roll in the grass, play with sticks, dig in the dirt or sand. Name flowers and trees, etc. Yes, they do that on their own but naming it Nature Day just helps make them aware of the fun stuff Nature provides. Have fun

FINALLY… got to see Wolfgang at the end. 🎉🎉🎉 His smile lights the room up and puts a smile in my heart. You have the nicest family!!! ❤💕
  • @lisasmith4202
It’s so awesome how you do all these fun things for the kids . I babysit my granddaughter during the summer so I’m going to use some of these ideas , they are all so good . Wolfgang is so cute and growing so fast . He has the brightest smile like his mommy :) I know your kids are surely blessed . Maybe you could take the kids to a nursing home and let them spend some time with a elderly person , that’s if they like older people . I know some kids don’t like it but when I was growing up during the summer I went to visit elderly at the nursing home and man what a good time I had :) plus it puts a smile on there faces . God bless and keep you all Kim and I pray you all had a wonderful summer . Try to get you some rest to and watch some Golden girls lol . Big hugs

Summer buket list think I have to copy this with my girls for the summer
  • Kim you are such an amazing mother your children will always remember the wonderful childhood they had.God be with you and your beautiful family.
  • You are the mom that every child would LOVE to have ❤❤❤
  • We love doing a summer bucket list. I write them down on note cards and tape them onto a poster board. That way the kids can take each item down as we do them. I save the “done” cards in an envelope taped to the board so we can go back and remember what we did over the summer.
  • I got news for you, Kim. You are definitely an optimist. You are always looking on the bright side of what we call reality. ❤You’re such a positive light. Love your video.

My mom and I had so much fun during my school years. We just hung out and worked with what we had. When I had spelling words, she would tell me, and I wrote them on my chalkboard. I am 60 years old now. Thank you for bringing me back to times with my mom.
  • You are an AMAZING MOM!!! Wow, I'm so impressed with your organization, your creativity, but most of all, your generous love for your beautiful children💓. I'm sure your children love you so much, but one day they will REALLY appreciate all the effort & love you put into everything you do Kim! Your energy & love is truly inspiring! Thank you for your videos & your passion in everything you do...I look forward to each one! Happy Summer Days to your sweet family❣️❣️
  • i think it’s wonderful that you make summer so much fun! but also how you keep your kids minds actively learning too: 20 minutes of reading, practicing letters and lessons! awesome!
