One thing on our summer bucket list is to visit every playground in our town. It was my 6 years old son's idea. So far we have made it to 5 out of 18. It's been hard finding a nice day. It's been raining here in Indiana so much all summer. I've been taking a picture of the kids together on each playground to make a photo collage. Simple, cheap, fun, happy kids! ❤

I’m sending you a big hug for the loss of your sissy. I know how that works, grief sneaks up on you and KAPOW, the sob comes deep in your soul. And it’s such a reminder of how short life really is. I’m so sorry, she should still be here, helping you hold Wolfgang….and loving you and your family. And of course, his birthday is right around the time you lost her, I remember you mentioning how your postpartum was a tougher because it coincided with the anniversary. Not everyone has the same beliefs, I know that, but I believe we will meet all the people who have gone before us, they’ll be waiting for us, and may even come to get us. (I follow 2 different hospice nurses and they’ll second and third that after working with those that actively dying). Now, to answer your question about my favorite YouTube channels. You’re my absolute favorite. Not an empty compliment, just the truth. But I also love Midwest Magic Cleaning, Clutterfree TV, Clean with Barbie (she cleans for free places in NY for people who need help badly. But you need a strong stomach for it, she encounters bugs and mice and hoarding situations that are heartbreaking. I also love Kyle and Amanda on This Crazy Life. Serpa Design, Urbex Indigo, Jessica Tull, Jamie’s Journey, since you like the crime podcast, you might love MrBallen. This Gathered Nest, Katie Van Slyke (horses, baby horses, baby goats). Stauffer garage too.

I love pantry clean-outs ❤❤ Can't wait for your closet clean-out 😊 Going along the lines of the "just take the trip" mentality, I've been listening to the book "15 Secrets Successful People Know About Time Management," and he was saying that print the number 1440 or write it on a post-it and put it where you see it everyday as that's the number of minutes in a day so it serves as a constant reminder to make sure you spend time doing the things you actually WANT to do and work towards your goals in life. P.S. If you have audible, that's a good book to listen to and it's only like a little over 3 hours long.

New subscriber “Party Person”. In a few words just wanna thank You Kim for sharing your life to motivate others in the Season of Motherhood of Smalls + Teens. You open yourself to many opinions and being in “survival mode-Just doing your best” is admirable. I have raised my two and now Grandmother to two (girls 2yo and 8 weeks) and find inspiration in your content. Stoked to join this online group you have composed, most all positive and supportive. It took me near five years to feel like myself after our third child, fly ahead seven years after that and our fourth (and last) baby is three and I feel mostly like myself but only for the past six months or so. We all have our own time and you will feel like yourself again soon but give yourself time, Wolfgang is still so young. Love watching your videos x

Kim, quick tip for tortilla chips that are stale. Preheat the oven to 300 empty the chips on a cookie sheet and bake 5-7 mins. They're better than when you first open the bag.

My grandfather grew rhubarb in his garden so it was a staple in our house every year. We would eat plain cooked rhubarb, rhubarb pie, strawberry rhubarb pie, rhubarb crisp, rhubarb cobbler. We loved it. We also had alpine strawberries that would grow in the sand hills behind our house and we kids picked strawberries and ate them till we got our fill. Thus brings back so many good memories for me.

I remember watching Chitty-Chitty Bang Bang at the Drive-in as a kid. It was my favorite movie and still holds great memories for me. I make my own egg bites too. So worth it! Love you all

Recommending a channel, Knorpp and South. They have 9 children and do home reno, travel in a rv with total of 11 people, and the mother does furniture makeovers. Right now they are renovating a home and are almost to the point of furnishing and designing their home with thrift store finds. In September the mother will make a pie every day. She is a really good cook. I think you will love it.
